MVMCP Fireworks

Are the Fireworks at the mvmcp the same as Wishes? Or at least close to the same?

We are going to the party on Nov. 30th (our first night) but then are going to back to MK on the following night to see Spectro and Wishes. I have an 8pm PS for Ohana's for after Wishes that night. If it is essentially the same fireworks show that we saw just the night before, I will skip it and make an earlier PS for dinner.

Re: MVMCP Fireworks

I don't know if they are the same or not... I have heard that they are similar, but I don't know that I would change my plans... I think seeing the Fireworks inside the park and then from a distance would be two different experiences all together... just something to think about...

I hope you are not planning on seeing the fireworks on the 30th. Wishes is not scheduled for the night. However, on December 1st SpectroMagic is @ 6PM with Wishes @ 7.

Re: MVMCP Fireworks

No disneyguy, we are going on the following night. (Dec 1st) My point was we would be seeing fireworks two nights in a row. I don't want to stay for them on Dec 1st if they are the same thing.

I know that wishes is not scheduled for Nov 30th. But aren't there some sort of fireworks as part the the MVMCP on the 30th? And how similar is it to Wishes?

Re: MVMCP Fireworks

I didn't mean for that to come off sounding rude, disneyguy. And don't feel bad, I've never been so lucky to see Wishes or Spectro or any of the night time events and I'm determined not to miss a thing!

Good idea MickeyRon! I think I will move those PS's up for after Spectro, monorail over to the Poly & see wishes over there and then eat. I'm trying to avoid too many late nights for our kids.

Don't worry no offense taken at all! I know exactly what you mean, about not wanting to stay out too late every night. We are trying to do the same thing when we go.

Re: MVMCP Fireworks

The fireworks are basically the same. But they do add in some special effects for the MVMCP. Be sure to check out where Tinkerbell usually flies over for a treat that night.

Re: MVMCP Fireworks

I'm facing the same decision: going to MVMCP on thurs nite, then back to MK on Sat nite to catch Spectromagic and wondering if I should stay for Wishes avoid a late nite. The Disney website says that it will be Wishes but doesn't specify if it's different.

Re: MVMCP Fireworks

The fireworks for MNSSHP were very different from Wishes, so I would assume it would be the same for a special event in Dec.

Re: MVMCP Fireworks

I was told by a friend who just returned from MNSSHP that the fireworks there were similar to Fantasy in the Sky with some extra effects thrown in.

Last year the fireworks at MVMCP were Wishes with a couple of extras for Christmas thrown in. I'm assuming they will be again this year.
