Re: The week after Christmas
Do you mean the day after up until New Year's day, or the first week of January? December 22nd until January 1st is the busiest time at WDW. Rates for resorts are top dollar and the crowds are insane with parks sometimes filling to capacity and closing to day visitors. The week after however, slows to a snail's pace and is suppose to be a great time to visit. I am not certain on the decorations though, but I thought they were taken down the second week of January. Again, I am not positve on that one.

Yes, all of what Dana said is true. I am sure that the decorations stay up through that week after Christmas. Crowds are very heavy that week, and we will hear lots about them denying entry to people that are not Disney resort guests.

Re: The week after Christmas
Later in January is a great time, and February is also a great time, except around Presidents' Day Week.

Re: The week after Christmas
We have gone in Feb. and it was wonderful. We actually were there right before President's Week. We checked out Friday morning (President's Weekend) and the crowds had only started picking up on Thursday. We did the trip this way so that the kids would not miss so much school. Also, by arriving before the busy time, we got our resort at the value season prices. We have also gone in the summer and it was pretty miserable. It was very crowded and so hot and humid. There were a few times that I got sick because it was so hot. I know that alot of people go in the summer, but I never want to go back during the summer. It is just so much more enjoyable when it is not so hot and humid and crowded.

Re: The week after Christmas
What about the days before Christmas? We are going for a short trip the 18 to the 22nd. We love to see all the decorations at Christmas and this was the only time we could go. Are the parks packed?
Thanks Karen |
