Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
I tried the Fantamic! package last year and found it to be very worth my while. I made a PS for Momma Melrose's with the Fantasmic! package 90 days before I intended to go. You get a special pass at dinner that allows you to enter the Fatasmic! seating area in a special place and there is speical seating. You only have to check-in 30 min before the show instead of queueing up an hour or more before like at peak times. That is the best way for me.

Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
We've done the Fantasmic pkg several times now. Seeing as we normally go during the summer months when attendance is high, it very worthwhile for us.
But if you're planning on going in an off time and don't normally eat a very large 3 course meal, you probably don't need to bother with it. Just go stand in line and sit wherever you land. They're all good seats! I would bring a towel with me to wipe off the metal bleachers in case they're wet, or to sit on in case the weather is cool and the bench is freezing.

We grabbed priority seating dinner at a restaurant (forgot the name) and we had VIP tickets included with the dinner reservations. Here is my dd waiting for the show to begin.

Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
We always use the Fantasmic Dinner Package. That way you don't have to get to the amphitheatre till about half an hour before the show starts. While everyone else is in line, or sitting on hard metal benches, we were enjoying rides and shows. The seating for the package also allows for a quick exit, which we found very handy! Here are all the details, plus comments. (one is even from me!! :) ) http://www.allearsnet.com/din/fantdin1.htm

Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
I've done it both ways - we did the Hollywood & Vine dinner package and in January we just winged it and had dinner at 50's Primetime and then went right over to Fantasmic. Honestly, we only waited in line for about 15 minutes & were in our seats for another 10 or so before the show. I don't like the side seats that are 'reserved' for the package - when we did it on our own, we had great seats in the middle section.
Either way - the show is awesome & I highly recommend it!

Dinner package is the way to go!
We do the Brown Derby. We phone at day 87 to fine they were filled. Next plan is try the day of. If you are there after Thanksgiving, you should be able to see the Osborne Lights right after the show

Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
We do the diinner package at Hollywood & Vine. It is a yummy buffet with choices to please all, young and old alike. And it is the least expensive of the dinner options that go with the package. we always go in the crowded part of the year so it is well worth it to us, plus you have to eat somewhere, right??

Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
I always use the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Even during my trips in January, the theatre has been filled to near capacity, and I have no desire to wait in a line with THAT many people. I realize that some folks have been disappointed with the location of the reserved seats. But I've never felt like I've missed any of the action because of the location, and it does make for a "quick" getaway after the show. Well, as quick as a getaway can be with thousands of other guests making their own escape with you.

Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
We did the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Got a PS for 4:30. After dinner we went to the Drew Carey Sound show, came out 10, minutes before the Stars in Motor Cars parade, had a great seat. After the parade, went right in to see the Indy Jones Stunt show and then did Star Tours. Headed over with our Fantasmic tickets and walked right in. No waiting for 60-90 minutes for us. Plus everything was just so laid back, no rushing, it all went perfect.

Re: What's the best way to see Fantasmic?
I can't get a dinner package, though I keep calling back to check. I don't want to wait in line for 60-90 minutes. Is there any chance that it won't fill and I could get in there 30 minutes before showtime? I've read there's a standing room only section. How long is the show and how bad would it be to stand? Do they allow strollers in? I've read that people go early and bring food in. Where would you get food from?
