Mickeys Very Merry Christmas

Has anyone ever been to this? We are going to be in Disney from Dec 2-14th and didn't go last year because we thought the kids were too young? Any thoughts?

Re: Mickeys Very Merry Christmas

I went quite awhile ago, but I still remember it. MVMCP was awesome when I went and I'm sure it's gotten even better since then. They give out cookies and hot chocolate, there's Christmas decorations all over the place, it snows on Main Street... and of course all the rides too. Christmas and Disney... what a great combination. I think everyone who likes Disney should try it at least once.

Re: Mickeys Very Merry Christmas

We went a couple of years ago and it was great! They also take a picture of your family for free! We are going on the first night this year on November 28. Keep in mind it does get cold in Florida at night during this time. We paid through the nose for mittens and sweatshirts last time. This time we are bringing our own!

Loved it...but it still haven't got the song "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" out of my head, FOUR YEARS LATER!

We had a blast would highly recommend it.

Re: Mickeys Very Merry Christmas

DH wasn't sure we should buy tickets last time we went but we all agreed it was wonderful. We didn't even think twice about buying tix this time around. Between the parade, the carolers and just all the little things Disney seems to have around every corner...I'd recommend it for all ages!

CNR & I have gone twice 2001 & 2002
This year we are going X 2 12/5 & 10

It snows on Main St

Special fireworks and parade (parade twice)
You can walk in into most rides. We did Buzz 4 times non-stop
Shows that only done during MVMCP. Twis the Night Before Christmas (Tomorrowland)is just sooooo great.

"Free" hot chocolate and cookies. MVMCP only pins

It just so much fun!!!

We went in 2000 and are going again this year (12/7/04). We LOVE the "snow" on Main Street. Great for those us "from up north". We can gloat about wearing shorts and seeing "snow"!

We have gone as a whole family for 6 years (reunion like, 5 families) and for a couple years before that without the group.

Would'nt miss it for the world.

It's great fun! Even though it lasts until late at night, there's no reason why you couldn't get your money's worth and still leave at a decent hour.

And don't forget: those of you going on Dec 9th...that's the night of the Mousefest MVMCP Meet. You'll find webmasters and many other online Disneyphiles there at the same time.

Re: Mickeys Very Merry Christmas

The storytellers are fantastic and there are characters everywhere. We really did have the best time last year during MVMCP. I think the best part is that they limit the number of guests so it really is not crowded ( well a little crowded in Fantasyland, but you just have to expect that!).

Enjoy,
-harry

Re: Mickeys Very Merry Christmas

I have been 3 times and loved it everytime. If you think that Disney is a Magical place, wait until you see it at Christmas !! I happen to love both Christmas and Disney so for me it's the perfect combo ! I mentioned this in one of my other posts, but the travel channel does a special on WDW @ Christmas time and I keep my eyes open for it and let you know when it will be on.

Yeah I love the "snow" too. Being originally from Illinois and now a Floridian that is the only snow I ever care to see again!!

Re: Mickeys Very Merry Christmas

We have been for the last three years and would not miss it.
I have two DD's. One 5 and one 18 months. We will be going this year on the 7th.
We plan on taking it easy all day in preparation for the party.
The DH's will be golfing and the girls will be lounging at the pool.
My niece's will be joining us they are 3 and 20 months.
