Is this doable?

We are going to our first Mvmcp on Nov 30th. It is our first day in the parks. As a matter of fact, our plane lands at 4:11pm. I made a ressie for Tony's at 5:35pm but I know that it is a gamble that we will even get there by then. We have a towncar picking us up and then are going to check-in at POFQ. So anyway, I realize if we are late we will just be entering the park at 7pm.

I'd like to see the parade and fireworks, the show in tomorrowland, the show at the castle and ride our favorites in Adventureland and Frontierland. (Splash, BTMRR, POTC, HM, JC, Aladdin's). We'll be doing an early morning entry later so I figure we can get fantasyland and tomorrowland done then.
Can we do it if we are just there from 7-12?

Re: Is this doable?

There is absoloutly no way on Earth you will be able to make a 5:35 PS(sorry to put it so bluntly...don't want to come off as rude). You will be lucky if you are getting to your resort by 5:35. It is very, very tough to say how long it will take you to get to MVMCP.

As far as after you get to the park. I think think tht it will be a little unreasonable to do all that in just 5 hours. I will admit I know very, very little about MVMCP, but I can imagine that it is pretty crowded. You may be able to get some of that, but not all of it.

Agree. See if the towncar will wait for you to check-in and take you to the MK. That will save you a little time.

Set it up before you leave home.

Re: Is this doable?

Sorry, but a more realistic timeline doesn't even get you out of MCO until 4:45, then another 25 minutes to get to the resort. Check in could be as quick as 15 minutes, but could easily be more. Are you going to take your luggage to your room now, or stow it at luggage services until you return from MK? Allow another 15 minutes even if you're just going to stow your luggage and not head to your room at all. Then you need to allow another 30-45 minutes (if the gods are smiling on you) to get to MK if you're using WDW transportation. You can see how your time has slipped away from you, and you're just getting to the park.

If it were me, I wouldn't make any dining PS for that first night. It would just make me feel rushed and hurried and disappointed if I didn't make it in time. Maybe just focus on getting there in time for the MMVCP. That way you would have time to take your luggage to your room and get "settled" a bit before taking off for the park. Don't forget, the party runs late and with all the traveling you will have done that day, you're going to be dog tired. Wouldn't it be nice to get back to your room and be able to just go to bed, rather than having to search for your jammies at 1:00 in the morning?

Re: Is this doable?

Okay, Okay, so I'm a bit of an optimist! :-)

I never actually intended to eat at Tony's, unless we were starved, I just made the ressie so we could get in the park before 7. But I see now that's not so realistic. I'll call and cancel. I was just planning to store our luggage, but I guess we'll go ahead and check in and have our jammies laid out for us.

So when should we head over to the MK? Will they let us into tommorowland before between 6-7?? Or will we be standing around with all the other cattle at the entrance til 7?

Re: Is this doable?

I called and asked the same question about when you can get in. They said you can get in as early as 6Pm without having to use a day on your park hopper pass.

Re: Is this doable?

Oooh, that's good to know. I've always been part of the "cattle" herding in at 7 pm. I think I'll try a different approach this year!
