Re: WDW Coaster/Thrill Ride Park?
Although I am a coaster junkie, I voted no. When I go to Disney, I go there for the overall experience. I love the family environment and being able to enjoy the same things that my kids are enjoying. I like that they put a few thrill rides in each park to satisfy my need for a thrill. I also love how Disney's overall theme is better than any other park. I admit that I also spend a few days at Universal so that I can ride the rides, but the overall experience is not the same. My DD got a black eye the last time we were walking through City Walk after the parks closed to get back to the hotel because a drunk pushed her into a counter. Can you say not impressed. That would never have happened at Disney. Although I go to both Disney and the 2 Universal parks, the bulk of my vacation money is spent at Disney. I spend 3 or 4 days at Universal when I go for a 2 week vacation. I only do the character meals at Disney and all of my souvenirs come from Disney. Disney will always be my favorite vacation place. I guess I gave a rather lengthy explanation, but hey I was on a roll.

Re: WDW Coaster/Thrill Ride Park?
I voted no, No, NO!!! To me, Disney's lack of thrill rides is what makes Disney Disney! The whole point of Disney was that people could come with their families, and the way Disney is now seems to be just that. If Disney started going coaster crazy and trying to be like every other place, it just wouldn't be the same. I'm not opposed to "sprinkling", but keep the basic principle of Disney please. If Disney went Universal, I think the magic would definitely be lost for me.

Re: WDW Coaster/Thrill Ride Park?
I think Disney could use more thrill rides myself. That is the one thing missing. IOA has great thrill rides. But I would rather stay at WDW. So bring on the thrill rides.

Re: WDW Coaster/Thrill Ride Park?
I think some may be missing the point. In a thrill ride park, I would still demand every bit of Disney Imagineering to go with it, but it would be thrill rides, not kiddie rides.
Just imagine a single park with rides like these: TOT, RNRC, Dinosaur, Test Track, Mission Space, Space Mountain Now, go with that kind of imagineering to create "thrill" rides. One land I could think of would be "Halloween Town," based on Nightmare Before Christmas. Tower of Terror would have fit in great here, but imagine a second "Haunted Mansion" that doesn't just amuse, but throws screaming girls into the laps of their boyfriends at some of the "suprises." Or--and Matt you may like this one--do a Tim Burton version of ISWA. The ride starts out with happy dancing puppets, who by mid-ride have been driven mad by that song and start attacking your boat. Relocate the original Alien Encounter here, & make it scarier. In "Space Land" you could pull some series G's testing out rockets (a mixture of Test Track, Space Mountain, and Kraken). Other coasters thoughout the park could have: an Incredibles theme (Trying to outrace that ball-robot-thing). a Monsters, Inc theme (riding the doors to get Boo home) a battle with Maleficent's dragon, complete with fire and explosions Oh, I'm getting excited just thinking about it! Just remember, you're all witnesses when Dinsey builds these attractions, and I sue them. ![]()

Re: WDW Coaster/Thrill Ride Park?
I like the idea of a coaster park ~ and I don't think it would take anything away from the existing parks, as it would be a separate park. If Disney did it right, (as in keeping with the disney magic) it would be incrediable.

Re: WDW Coaster/Thrill Ride Park?
I kinda like the way they have things now, no matter where you go they have the thrills combined with everything else. They set it up so there is something that appeals to everyone. That I think is what makes Disney stand apart from all the other theme parks.
