Hmmm... I know the answer is here somewhere! AMO Question

Okay... I have searched the threads, but can't find the answer...

Do they have shampoo and stuff like in the rooms of the value resorts... we are staying at AMO

Oh... don't know if I ever finally let you all know that we did decide to stay onsite for the entire time!! We leave in 3 days and can't wait!!

Thanks!

All Reseorts no matter what "category" have shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, shower caps etc etc in the rooms and they are replaced each day. So if you want more, just throw the ones in your room in your suitcase and the ladies who come to clean your room will replenish everything.

Re: Hmmm... I know the answer is here somewhere! AMO Question

The last time we stayed at AS they had a dispenser in the shower with liquid soap, and shampoo/conditioner combo. They still had small bars of soap at the sink.

Yes, ASMo has a dispenser for the soaps and shampoo, and not the cute little bottles. This was one of the biggest complaints with the AS's, so they made a change at PC, and took it back to the bottles. I am pretty sure there is atleast one or two bars of soap somewhere, and I bet if you asked Mousekeeping they would give you more.

Is there possibly a hotel anywhere that doesn't supply soap and shampoo. It may be the cheap stuff but it's soap and shampoo

Well, I think he meant in the cool bottles you get, Dopey. At the AS, you don't get shampoo in the bottles (which are souvenir quality) they are just in a dispenser. That was a deal breaker for me.

Re: Hmmm... I know the answer is here somewhere! AMO Question

Also at the DVC resorts, the shampoo, etc. is not replaced every day, because there is not maid service every day. They only come in for Trash and Towel every third day and again on the 7th day, if you stay that long. That's because it is a home away from Home resort and it's supposed to be more like home. There are also Washers and Dryers in the 2-3 bedroom units. That was cool. We did our laundry almost every day. There is also a free laundry for the 1 bedroom units, but it is not in the room, it is by the pool.

When we stayed in the mod. last year, we got shampoo, etc. every day. We didn't need it, because we brought our own. I stashed it all in our luggage every day, and voila! there was more the next day. We brought it home. We still have it in the linen closet. My dd says she's saving it. I don't know what for. She thinks it's cool, because it has Mickey on it.

And if they don`t give you any to start with, you can call the front desk and tell them that you need some

Re: Hmmm... I know the answer is here somewhere! AMO Question

We've stayed at AS's and have gotten an iron each time...in fact I think it was standard last time we were there. We did request a hair dryer, so I didn't have to pack one. I heard that you can request a coffee maker if your room doesn't not have one too, we're not coffee drinkers, but my inlaws used it last year to heat water for instant oatmeal for breakfast (saves $$ and time in line in the food court!). Have a super duper trip!!

Thats a great idea!!! Thanks for the tip!! I was planning on doing Pop-Tarts and Muffins for our trip, but if someone wants a hot breakfast one morning then they can have some oatmeal.
