New EMH Schedule

Well it is making it interesting having to shuffle my days to take advantage of the new EMH schedule. Does anyone know if the late time at Epcot includes Future World and how long after the official close time the EMH would be.

Re: New EMH Schedule

I left my plans alone figuring that by the end of a normal day the kids would be so beat that it wont matter anyhow! I thought about switching them around but my sanity was way too fragile to try it! :)

Re: New EMH Schedule

Yeah, the main EMH I wanted to take advantage of was for Animal Kingdom because I want to try the Safari early, but now I could use the late Epcot time also.

Re: New EMH Schedule

I left my plans as was. I don't see a point in having to utilize the EE for my days in January. I may take advantage of the MGM late hours though.

Re: New EMH Schedule

I just had to totally rearrange our plan of attack! Is it true that the evening EMH is actually 3 hours long?

Re: New EMH Schedule

We were there for the test of the new EMH in May and the parks stayed open 3 hours past the normal closing time. I am not sure about EPCOT hours though. I would imagine that Future World would also be open 3 hours past the normal closing time on the EMH night.

How do the evening hours work? Did you have to get bracelets?

Re: New EMH Schedule

What I got from the information is that once the parks close, you have to present your resort key in order to get a bracelette to stay for the extra three evening hours. I am assuming that if you have no bracelette, you can't stay. That's my take on it anyway. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Re: New EMH Schedule

As far as I know you do have to go to a special kiosk no more than two hours before park closing time. You also have to show your resort ID to get into EMH Morning.

I asked Mickey the same thing, and he said that it is too early to get into the exact details, they have simply released the schedule so we can make our plans.

My guess is that on nights that Future World is scheduled to close at 7PM, then it will close at 10 PM, and when World Showcase closes at 9 its rides will probably be open until midnight. There are many, many details that need to be worked out, such as will Test-Track continue operating through Illuminations. Can you imagine the noise/lights comming from there while your trying to watch a peaceful show?

Re: New EMH Schedule

Allearsnet.com is listing the attractions open during Extra Magic Hours. If I read it correctly, parts of Future World will be open to midnight.

But it's still all a mess. If you read my Aaaaaaargh! post, you'll see that even the CM's don't know what's going on yet.

Yes, that is a detail to be worked out. But this EMH on Thurs. at Epcot will work perfectly on my Thursday. Blizzard Beach for 2 to 3 hours, Univ/Ioa 'till 5:00 relax and head over to Epcot by 7:00 pm for the EMH.

Re: New EMH Schedule

You're doing Blizzard Beach and then going over to Universal until 5? Even I wouldn't do that, and I have done Knott's, Disneyland and DCA on one day. Also, Sea World and then closed IOA, but adding the water park to your agenda is going to be quite a feat. Don't forget also that I-4 will be nasty at 5 for rush hour. It could take you as long as 45 minutes to get from the Universal parking structure back to your resort. Good luck, let me know how it finally works out.
