? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
My MIL, 2 SIL's and nephew are going to Disney in March. MIL is wondering if she should pre-purchase Park Hoppers now or wait till they arrive and purchase the new passes. Any thoughts?

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
I am going for four days, and will get the park hoppers really soon. If you are going for a long trip then go for the new Magic Your Way Pass.

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
They are going for a week, over our march Break. They don't plan to hop from park to park. usually we can get park hoppes at par (in CDN dollars, if we buy ahead of time). My SIL's may go to Pleasure Island, my MIL won't. 2 of them will go to a waterpark once. The little guy is only 2, so he doesn't need any passes

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
Well if they don't want park hopping capabilties, then go with the Magic Your Way Pass. Each one of it could customize their ticket to exactly what they wanted to do during their trip.

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
Question though -- Am the only one who considers park-hopping more than just an option? Isn't it always best to be able to scoot from one park to the other? I think the older I've gotten, the more I like spending only say, half a day at AK, then half a day somewhere else. I think I'd prefer knowing I can park hop than being "trapped" in one park for the entire day. After all, there are so many things going on all over the place. I can see how these new passes would benefit people who've never been there, but for old timers, I think it would be a little stifling.
Not that I wouldn't make the most of it... But I specifically remember having tix to 1 park (MGM), and being done by 1PM, and having a whole day left to do... what?

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
Well, the best option I've figured is to buy the 10 Pass @ $200. Add the no expiration option for $100. Add Park Hopper for $35. The total is $335. That works out to just $33.50/day. That allows 2 five day trips on one ticket.

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
No. Hotel rates stay the same each night.
A one day Park Ticket is almost $60. Each additional day gets cheaper. A straight 10-day ticket is $200, or $20/day. Fantastic deal, but without the no-expire option you have to use all the days within a 2 week time period. Oh, to be able to stay at WDW for a full two weeks!

Adding DQ and the water parks are extra.

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
Don't the passes have limitations where you can only buy for an amount equal to your total length of stay?

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
I'm so confused about these new passes. I still have days left on our Park Hopper tickets from our trip this year. If I go back in a couple of years, will I still be able to use my Park Hopper tickets? I was told they never expire. I sure hope they're correct; especially since these new tickets are out now.
Geez!! It's all too confusing!!

Re: ? Park Hoppers vs the new passes
Your old passes will never expire. They will still accept them. The magic your way tickets can be purchased for as many days at you want. They do not have to match your length of stay. So if you are staying 7 days but only want 5 days of passes you cna do that. They expire in two weeks unless you purchase the no expiration option. You can only go to one park each day unless you purchase the park hopping option. Water parks, etc. are not included unless purchased as an option. I am debating on whether to still get my AP or not.
