I read this over at AllEars.Net:

http://allearsnet.com/tp/emhour.htm Is there anyone that's going the beginning of Jan that could give a report on this? I wonder how this will work? Will you be asked to leave if you do not have a wrist band or will you just not be allowed to ride anything? Hmmm...curious, I am. ![]()

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
My guess is you'll be discreetly removed form the queue and politely escorted to the park entrance. Otherwise, it might be a modified honor system. They CMs will also politely herd the non-wristband wearers towards the exits around park close. But you'll also have shoppers straggling behind, and after they've spent an extra hundred or so, would you really kick them out?

I dont know. It sounds really strange. When I was a CM it was always said that once they are in the parks there is nothing you can do to kick them out.

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
I am sure that like at hard-ticketed events like NOJ when people without the wristband were politely asked to go buy the tickets or were told to leave, people will just be asked to leave if they don't have the wristbands. I also don't remember, when I attended NOJ on the Friday night, that there was any announcement that the park was now closed.

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
I also got some more scoop on the meal deal- apparently there is a large difference between the new "silver" and old ( new is better but no wishes) and the new gold one - It would cost approximately $1000 more to do it for our family and still have the advantages that we have by staying with the silver we have now- activity centers, meals, spa, etc.... We seem to have the last of the great meal plans set for our trip!

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
You probably didn't hear an announcement. One thing I've gotten on all the tours is that the park PA is only used for real emergency reasons. It's pretty easy to tell when the big 3 parks close because their final show has concluded. Animal Kingdom just closes at 6.

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
Yeah if anyone gets the scoop on this I'd love to know as I am going in March, I'd like to know if they limit the # of "Keys to the World", I assume they will and do you have to be there real early to get that benefit?

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
I'm guessing that if you have an extra person in your group who isn't a hotel guest, you could squeeze that person in. Either that, or get an extra room key or two for friends. I do that at Universal for my friend who lives in Orlando, so he can ride with us.

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
I think that only those with a wrist band will be able to ride the rides. Other people can technically stay in the park to shop, eat, etc. but they won't be able to do anything else.

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
We'll be going Jan. 8th. I'll make sure to post how the extra evening hours work since we are planning on taking advantage of all of them!

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
The evening EMH will act very similar to hard-ticketed events (i.e. MVMCP, MNSSHP, and NOJ). At park closing only guests with wristbands will be allowed to enter the attraction queue lines. Guests without wristbands will not be told to leave but most likely informed that the park has closed for the evening. In addition you technically cannot just get extra KTTW cards for guests because each room has a maximum occupancy and the Front Desk is not supposed to cut more keys than capacity. Furthermore anymore than 2 adults per room will incur an extra adult charge to your rooms account. Also I would be a little upset as a guest if someone tried to cheat the system by getting someone access that doesn't deserve it. Personally I would feel dishonest if I got an extra key just for the purpose of getting someone in for the EMH. I don't want to preach and try to attack anyone but I'm just politely saying I don't agree.

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
I actually agree about cheating the system. But there is cheating, and there's stretching the boundry a little. If you have someone joining your party who isn't a guest at the resort, but this person is joining you for your full day's activities, I would allow for one extra person in party. When we were up in October in fact, on the morning that Epcot opened early, my friend joined us at our room and we all took the monorail to Epcot. He did NOT have an extra KTTK, but was allowed to enter the park with us as part of our party. As I said, stretching a little, but not breaking. Is a guest of a guest not still a guest? Be our guest, right?

Re: Evening Extra Magic Hours ?
I can see both viewpoints on cheating and stetching, I just think "what if each resort guest/family brings one of their non resort guests to use the extra hours, how is the EMH a benefit?" Yes there will be less people on rides, shorter lines, but isn't the whole idea to give the resort guests, who have paid extra to be on WDW property, the benefit? I don't know but its my 2 cents.
