It has been posted on AllEars: Body Wras, The Making of Me, and Cranium Command will reopen again of February 13th, 2005 and will close February 26th, 2005. (It is like Disney is opening this just for me). I CANNOT wait!!!! I know I will be clicking away in there because I have this bad feeling that this attraction will be gone in the near future. You have to remember Epcot is quickly approaching its 25 year anniversary, and I have a feeling this will include lots of rehabs and upgrades for the park.

I wish they would have this open for the entire time "The Land" is closed. I think they should have alternative attractions to compensate for the closed ones. For my trip, if this is the case, two lands will be completely shut down. Kinda sucky.

I wonder why they are only opening WoL for a couple of weeks. I could see it it was open throughout The Land rehab, but why only in February? Glad it's open for your trip.

My thoughts exactly. It should be open for the entire time The Land is being rennovated. I find it a little discouraging that 2 huge sections of Epcot will be closed during my trip. There is still plenty to do and all but the price of the ticket is still the same...kinda frustrating. I am not cheap by any means, but think that WDW should have that other section open...(don't want anyone to misunderstand my thoughts)

Awesome! lol. Everytime I go to Epcot I walk past there and see what's going on. At least I can take a day trip down there during that 2 week period

Disneyguy, this is great news, just wondering, in your opinion will a 4 year old soon to be 5 like The Making of Me and Cranium Command?

The making of me is the very light story of how babies are made.. So, you will have to be the one to make that choice. Do you want to have the "talk" with your child after the show? It's done disney style and very tasteful, but only you will now if that is a conversation you want ot have with your child. Cranium Command is a simulator like Star Tours and causes potential motion sickness according to the guide books etc...I think there may also be a height requirement, but Im not certain on how tall. Hope this helps.

I don't know that I would recomend The Making of Me for someone that young, if you are ready to have "The Talk" (LOL) then I think it will be OK. As far as Cranium Command and Body Wars those are 100% OK for someone that young. Body Wars is a motion simulator that takes you on an adventure through the body. It has been forever since I have been in Cranium Command, but if I remember corrctly it is a large theatre show, and you move through several Animitronic theaters.

Actually it is Body Wars that is a simulator like Star Tours. Cranium Command is more of a show. Loud noises and some special effects (smoke), but no movement at all.

Good to know this will be open most of the week I am there! It has been closed the past few times we have been there. Even though I avoid Body Wars (DH and I both had a moment on that ride), I did like the other two shows and it has been a while since we have seen them. Gosh I hardley remember what it even looks like inside! Can anyone refresh my memory - are there any shops or dining options that will be open here as well? Thanks for the info!

No, only Body Wras, Cranium Command, and The Making of Me will be open. Inside the building is very colorful, and has lots of workout equipment that allowed you to measure things about your body. To be honest I have forgotten exactly how it looked.

Thanks all for the info; My DD has seen baby story enough with her sister that I bet MoM would not freak her out, I on the other hand would probably sit that one out. Now Body Wars is not as rough as the Back to the Future ride at Univ. is it? That ride could cause neck damage!

When we were in the WoL in December, DH and I were both disppointed by how run down it seemed. Many of the hands on exhibits were not working. The pavillion was totally dead on Christmas Eve! I hope Disney fixes things up if they are planning on re-opening it for any length of time.

Have you ever ridden Star Tours? I found that Body Wars is a bit rougher than Star Tours.

Don't count on it.

I think the general public is expecting more "thrill" and less education out of Disney. One of the reasons that WoL is rarely open is that when it IS open, no one goes there.

We went on Body Wars twice last month and had no wait either time. They were only running two "ships" and still there was no wait.

The theatre was about half-full when we saw Cranium Command.

Honestly, I wish that Disney would simply overhaul it, instead of making plans to tear it down and replace it. I'm not saying that I know that's what they're doing, but the recent openings to account for The Land closing is exactly how Horizons went down (waiting for Test Track to open).

Unfortunately, Epcot continues to move away from it's initial premise. Apparently, no one finds entertainment in learning new things, which I find unfortunate.
