Any Disney birthday hints?
My friend and I are going to Disney for my birthday. We are going to hit all 4 parks and stay at the Pop Century resort. Are there any birthday freebies I might be able to get in the parks or at the resort?
Thanks in advance:) |

Re: Any Disney birthday hints?
Hi and welcome to DC. There are no "freebies" per say, but if you note on your reservation and any PS you make for restaurants that it's your birthday you may get a few extra magic surprises like a cupcake and the like. You should pick up a birthday button in each park. The cast members sometimes make a fuss out of people celebrating their birthday. AGain, welcome to DC.

Re: Any Disney birthday hints?
When we go it will be my friends brithday, and Mickey(Admin here on DC.. aka Keith of Mouseketrips) has advised us that it is best if we celebrate it on the day that we go to the MK because they generally have the best surprises. You just stop at Town Hall, its on your left when you get on Main Street USA, and tell them its your birthday and they will give you a special pin. This pin has been known to allow you to skip lines and get special character interactions. Also, if you tell PC upon check-in that you will be celebrating a birthday then they may put some balloons in your room that day.

Hello and welcome to Disney Central!!!
Dana is absolutely right, make sure you get a "Today is my Birthday" button at each park, cast members love to see people with those!!! Have a wonderful trip!!!

Re: Any Disney birthday hints?
What about a birthday that has just passed? My daughter's birthday is only a few days before we go. So it won't actually be her birthday but very close to it. This trip is also been planned as part of a birthday present. I would like her to get some extra perks.

Re: Any Disney birthday hints?
I was in Disney for my birthday this year. I was sitting in The American Adventure, having arrived for the Voices of Liberty show too late for one,but in time to snag a seat for myself for the next one. Some of the singers were talking to people and one of them happened to see my birthday button. He thanked me for spending my birthday at Disney and asked my name. I told him,and the next show, the Voices sang Happy Birthday to me!! I thought that was a great perk!!!

Re: Any Disney birthday hints?
Yes, definitely get the bday button. When I went for my bday, a CM snuck me through the back of the Haunted Mansion and right to the front of the line. When it was my brother's bday, a CM in line for Thunder Mountain gave us fastpasses to come right back on. GET THE BUTTON... lol!
And welcome to DC! ![]()
