January Crowd Update

My parents drove up to Leesburg to visit some friends and they decided to hit Epcot for the day. So as they are about to park in the Epcot lot they decided to call me at work to rub it in that they are there and I am at work...lol They said that the parks all seemed empty. Epcot especially. They said they barely saw any kids at all in the park. They didnt have to wait in any long lines. And the weather was beautiful. My parents already said they want to go back next year, the week after New Year's.

So for those of you going this week, have a great time! We are suppose to be heading back in March but it is questionable due to a few factors.

CaraMia----Thanks for the info. I'll be there in 14 days and will llove it if I can get on all the attractions without long waits! I look forward to these milder temperatures too.

I have the outline all set and some "prelude to a trip" summary noted already written....it's going to be a LONG report..lolol That reminds me...I need to go read the rest of yours.

I called WDW reservations last night to book a 4 night stay Jan14-18 and every WDW resort is booked up. The CM said he got a notice earlier that all rooms were booked and he double checked and could not find anything on property.

He said the only thing that he was aware of was the taping of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire".

I thought we would go during January when it was not busy but found out different for that weekend.

Maybe a lot of last minute vacations because of the new ticket prices?

Hope the crowds and weather is nice, while we are there. We will be at Disney from Feb. 16-22.

I'm definitely looking forward to low crowds. Everything I've heard and read says that we should expect low attendance next week. I'm not in the mood for surprises, lol.

That weekend is MLK weekend,when alot of people take advantage of the three day weekend.

Scared the pooh out of me for a moment there about the no rooms! Yes, mickaholic is correct...it's Martin Luther King holiday. llama was down there last year and said the crowds were heavy for that weekend. Glad that I picked the 21st.

I'm going around that time too! Anyone have any idea what the crowds will be like then? Hopefully like they are now for all you lucky people.. :) Hope you all have a great trip!!
