Problem booking anything at WDW - argh!!

I've been trying to get thru to reservations at WDW for 4 days now. The new program (MYW) is causing all kinds of problems with the computers.

Basically I cannot make any changes to my reservations, and after talking to the CM, who was less than friendly, I'm more confused than ever.

He quoted me a 4 day MYW premium ticket with 3 plus options, the dining plan and 4 nights at the Carrbean Beach (169 per night) for $2230. That seems incredibly high, but the other thing he said was, with the dining plan on a premium ticket, you get breakfast, lunch and dinner at any restaurant on property.

I've never heard of this - I thought it was 1 counter, 1 sit down and 1 snack per day of the meal plan.

Where can I get clarification on this?
Thanks,
Lisa

Try booking the same exact package online and then compare the prices. If it's not "right" call reservations back and tell them no the price is wrong. Call back until you get the right price.

I've heard that it's confusing from a couple people. I would do what Dana says and if it doesn't work, keep calling until someone can help you understand it better!

Sounds like since you booked a Premium MYW ticket the CM also put you on the Premium dining package. The Premium dining package does include all 3 meals along with some other features I believe.

Hey, you could be doing this for a living. I just spent 3 hours on the phone to change 2 reservations, and make one more.

There are two dining plans, the Magic Your Way plus dining (1 sit down, 1 counter service and 1 snack) and the premium dining plan (3 meals per day, etc.) The premium is basically the gold package of old.

Re: Problem booking anything at WDW - argh!!

I just plunked out 2,000 dollars to my travel agent for my 5 night stay/3 people in 2 weeks. The first agency I went to wasn't aware of any new changes to Disney. The second place I went could never get through, the third place I went gave me a ridiculous price of $3900. (And this is staying at a value resort and flying round trip from Shreveport.) The agent I finally booked with was so exhausted trying to get through to Disney and she said So confused by the time she read all the new literature that I am not sure what plan I ended up with!!! I wanted POP but all she said was available was the AS Sports for that week. These new prices & options are going to do more harm than good in my opinion!

Re: Problem booking anything at WDW - argh!!

On a related note: I called Disney to get my PS for lunches for this stay and was on hold about 15 minutes before I gave up and hung up. The second time I called back I put it on speakerphone this time, and cleaned the kitchen while I waited. Sure enough after 18 minutes I was connected to dining reservations. I thought," I know this is running up my long distance bill....but I want my questions answered once and for all! "----Right?

I was on hold for 20 minutes and finally gave up. then I called back and was on hold again for about 15 minutes. I wanted to see how much an upgrade would cost to AKL but it was too much money.

Sounds like there was a major overhaul to the entire reservation system. If you don't need to absolutely nail something down in the next week or so, I'd suggest letting the dust settle first.

Good idea. I was on hold the other night for 35 minutes before finally getting through. When I finally talked to a CM I was quoted and told one thing, but then her computer locked up so she had to transfer me to someone else who told me something completely different. Since my trip isn't until December, I told her not to make any changes to my reservation and I would call back in a month or so.

Re: Problem booking anything at WDW - argh!!

That is just nuts. You would think that they would have worked out the bugs and made sure the CM's were properly updated on the changes, before implimenting their new program.

Hopefully when Feb. comes around and I have to make my PS' it won't be so bad. Good luck to anyone who needs to work with them now!

If I didn't have so many rolled over minutes and free long distance on my cell phone, all those cute little WDW numbers wouldn't be on my speed dial. But my ear gets pretty hot sometimes.

I tried online for 3 days and kept having problems so I emailed Mouseketrips. They got back to me within 2 hours.

Re: Problem booking anything at WDW - argh!!

Iam about set with my booking plans for next October, it's just been a B***h trying to get decent airfare out of EWR but anyways, I got rates from Disney and Iam sticking with AAA, they give you the same packages CHEAPER!!! I got a rate from Disney, the whole package w/o a car and then I got a rate from AAA with a car and it's MUCH Cheaper!!!! AAA discounts Disney's rates, they book directly with Disney but the packages are discounted again for AAA members.
If anybody does not know January is Disney month at AAA, they are having a huge sale on all Disney products this month. If your not a member, I suggest you sign up and call up a AAA travel agent!!!
They save you more $$ than anyone else!!

Now to solve my airfare dilemna!!
