Hey Angel_Leo! Welcome to DisneyCentral! This site is the best when it comes to planning a trip to WDW. Let me start off with this: I just LOVE your AVATAR! lol. I love pictures of the Epcot ball at night, did u take it yourself? Its a very nice picture. Anyways..back on topic. I think you picked the perfect time to go to WDW! The crowds are very light all thru out the month, until Thanksgiving. The weather is also great! Its nice and cool, like 70's and 80's during the day and 60's at night. It can be murder walking around a park in july, when its 95 degrees out! I suggest bringing a windbreaker or sweater just in case. Ive stayed at the all star music, and sports, we need to finish off with the movies! lol. The all stars are very nice hotels, for a very reasonable price. Hope you have lots of fun on your trip!
Joe:)

We have been the last two Thanksgivings. We arrived on Tuesday before Thanksgiving ansd departed on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We loved it both times. On Thanksgiving day it's best to steer clear of the MK after lunch but otherwise we did not have any real problems. In 2000 it was pretty chilly the night we went to MGM. They were blowing artificial snow on the New York back lot and had the Osborne family spectacle of lights going. They were selling hot chocolate on the street. It was fantastic!! The chill in the air made the illusion complete. We are going back for the full week of Thanksgiving this year and can't wait to get there!! In short, we love WDW in November, even at Thanksgiving.:)

Angel_Leo,
We have been in Nov before. Arrived on Thanksgiving Day and stayed until the following Sat. (nine nights). It was pretty crowded until Sun, but after that we never waited more than 10 min for any ride (making good use of the FP system). As far as the weather it was very nice except for two days when we needed long pants and sweatshirts. Other than that we were able to wear shorts and t-shirts. A real plus if your timing is right is seeing the parks and resorts decorated for the holidays.

Angel....November is a great time to go! I have been before Thanksgiving and after (but never on Thanksgiving). Personally, I prefer the last week of November...all of the decorations are up! I have always steered clear of the parks on the holiday weekend. Good weather: warm days and cool nights.

It also depends on what you define as "good". Some people can't equate WDW with cool temperatures, while long queues annoy others more than anything.
For me, I will put up with abbreviated operating hours at the parks with shorter queues - but I also like the heat. So, it's September for me. I've never been in November - but I'm wary of the U.S. Thanksgiving - whenever it is. Why can't you Americans learn that Thanksgiving is in October? :D :D :D Oh, I can just see the flames starting now - I AM ONLY KIDDING!!! Besides, most Americans think we Canadians are backwards anyways...:weird: To quote the Simpsons "They think I'm slow because I'm from Canada, eh?"

We went to Disney last Nov. and it was fantastic :) Of course the biggest problem with that for us, is taking the kids out of school. But is worth it!!
The only other negative was the earlier closing times, but for us with 2 young kids -they were usually ready to call it quits by then anyway. We still went swimming in the evenings, even though it was nippy. (but, being from New England.......these "chilly evenings" were not bad at all AK and MGM were not crowded at all. MK was only busy on the Saturday that we went., and we expected that! :)

Ahhh, Thanksgiving, my new favorite time of Disney year!
For four years now I have gone to Disney the Friday after Thanksgiving (that would be November!!) and stayed unti the following Wednesday or Thursday. One year a cold front blew through and it got down to 30 degrees, but with the availalble hot chocolate and wassel, the atmosphere was great! You can wear shorts during the day, and either an additional jacket or blue jeans at night (for those of us from the far south). The weather is wonderful. Little to no rain. The decorations are great all over and it is just the way to get in the holiday spirit. I can't imagine going back now in July or August. Too hot! even for the South Texas girl in me. Have fun!! :D
