Park Tickets Now Expire in 14 Days!

I just read the WDW web site and realized that park tickets now expire in 14 days unless you pay extra for the "No Expiration" option.

You also have to purchase a "Park Hopper" option regardless of how many days you buy. I knew there had to be something to this new deal.

Does anyone know if any of the ticket brokers are still selling the original tickets with no expiration? We are considering our next trip and we would like to take our niece with us. Since we have annual passes, we only need one ticket for her.

Thanks in advance!

I know Hotwire just discontinued sales of all things Disney, and I believe Maple Leaf Tickets has switched over as well. I don't think there is away paying the fee for the No Expiration feature.

Re: Park Tickets Now Expire in 14 Days!

I agree, I think you will have to go with the new tickets. For most of us, I think the new tickets are going to offer a savings, however, if you want to save unused days it will really add to the cost of your ticket. We usually get length of stay passes so the new tickets are a savings to us since we only want to buy for the days we are at WDW so we don't need the "No Expiration" option.

Good luck!

Re: Park Tickets Now Expire in 14 Days!

Thanks! Since we are annual passholders, ours expire anyway after 12 months, but it would be nice to buy some for our niece that would last until we have the opportunity to take her again. I'll just have to spend some extra $$ I guess.

You could buy a ten day ticket with the no expiration option. Or you could check your local AAA office to see if they have any parkhoppers left.

Re: Park Tickets Now Expire in 14 Days!

We just bought the 10 day with the no exp. option even though we are only going to use 5 days this trip. We figured it out to be just over $30 a day (about half the price of a 1 day admission) and this way we will already have our tickets for our trip next year. It worked out better for us than the park hoppers would have b/c we never actually used the park hopping option, and with the new tickets, we just left that option off and it saved us more $$!

Wait a minute! Stop the presses! What about all those PH tickets we have from last year? They were supposed to automatically be non-expiring (is that even a word???) -- so are they still good?

Re: Park Tickets Now Expire in 14 Days!

I was just checking out Mapleleafs site ( I was wondering what would happen to them) they are selling the new tickets, but also there was a note across the top of his website that said they still had the old tickets....buy them while they last....

Miss Disney....Your old tickets should be just fine.....

All old tickets are still very good. We have several days left on old tickets and plan on using a couple of days this summer.

Re: Park Tickets Now Expire in 14 Days!

Keep in mind that if you decide to get the "no expiration" thingy on your pass, you have to get that BEFORE you use it. I just purchased one of the MYW tickets yesterday from my Disney Store and the manager told me this.

Glad to help Lauren. He (the manager) told me that other options such as pluses, no expiration and dining have to be added BEFORE you use them. He had the little book out to show me the new system and really spent a great deal of time explaining everything to me. ALso, if you are purchaseing these passes, you need the receipt. If they get deactivated (like a credit card swipe), you have to have the "activation receipt" in order to get a replacement pass.

No the PH tickets are good FOREVER. Year 2025 and someone finds your PH tickets in your time capsule they could still use them. The MYW tickets are the ones that expire within 14 days of the 1st time you use them.
