Too Much Stitch

Okay, I like Stitch. I was even suprised to like Stitch's Great Escape. I laughed the entire time. Perhaps I heard so much negative about it that I was expecting the worse.

BUT...I felt there was an over exposure of Stitch at WDW. From wake up calls, to rope drops, to even Chef Mickey's, Stitch was EVERY WHERE. And it was kind of annoying after a while. I mean, Disney has hundreds of GREAT characters who have been around for decades. And WDW is ulitmately the House of Mouse, but it seemed Mickey had to share the limelight everywhere we went.

Now, I'm not saying Stitch isn't a great character, nor a popular character, but it would have been nice to see some lesser seen characters pop up unexpectedly and not just Stitch every where. I was tired of him by the last day, and even my kids lost the thrill of seeing him after a while.

I'll also note this: At MK's evening EMH, every attraction I saw had about a 35 minute stand-by line EXCEPT Stitch's Escape. It was a walk on for the 3 hour period. To me that doesn't bode well for the life of this attraction. No one in my family wanted to do it twice, and it makes little sense to me to have an attraction that isn't for small children, when Stitch is a character most appealing to small children.

Wow, I better not have that much Stitch when I am there. I do not like Stitch very much.

Re: Too Much Stitch

I missed that quote--not that I missed that quote.

I was just kind of suprised when Stitch showed up at Chef Mickey's and started throwing cereal around.

Actually--that was one of the better character interactions. Stitch grabbed a scoop of fruit loops, poured it into his ear, and then started picking cereal out of his ear and offering it to DS. I actually reprimanded Stitch for his poor example (in fun).

Re: Too Much Stitch

I'm not much of a Stitch fan. The movie was cute and all, but he kinda annoyed me. *shrug*

OMG... I'm running into Mr. 60 everywhere I go!!

Re: Too Much Stitch

Maybe they are just trying to keep up the hype for an attraction that received bad reviews?
