Photocopy Your Tickets

It's a guest's worse nightmare. We got back to our room one night, and I realized I had left DS ticket in a fastpass machine!!!! Since this was not on his room key (The MYW ticket system was down when we arrived), we would have been in deep trouble. EXCEPT I had asked a CM for a photocopy when I bought the tickets.

Having that number allowed guest services to cancel the old ticket and reissue a new one for the remaining days.

So I'll emphasize this as strongly as I can: PHOTOCOPY YOUR TICKETS AND KEEP THE PHOTOCOPY IN A SAFE LOCATION. It could save your vacation. It did mine.

Take a copy to keep in your room and leave a copy with a trusted relative/friend at home in the event you can't find your copy and need it faxed to your resort. Same info applies to Travelers Checks!! When I was a bank teller, we recommended photo copies to all of the TC customers.

Glad it didn't ruin your vacation, caver_jeffrey!! The receipt I got from the Disney Store for my tickets has the numbers on them, but I'm going to photocopy the tickets themselves for good measure.

I've already made plans that if the house catches on fire, the first thing I grab is the envelope with the tickets.

Well, the kids first, then the envelope!

Great advice! I would have copied my tickets at home, but will be exchanging them for MYW tix at the resort - I doubt I would have remembered to ask them for a copy!

Thanks for reminding me! I should have done this in the first place with our DLR APs. Yes, they have our picture on them...but DLR doesn't use fingerprinting like WDW does, so it is still possible for someone to use our tickets if they look even *remotely* like the grainy person in the picture.
