Lights, Motor, Action...Stunt Show Soft Opening!

The moment everyone has been waiting for, the date??? So do you really want to know??? Well here is what I've found out as of tonight, Cast Previews and Soft Opening will begin on ????? ?? got it! Oh come on do I really have to tell you, I'll give you a hint the questions marks actually spell out the date! OK, I won't hold you in suspense any longer, as of January 15th, 2005, the soft opening date for the Lights, Motor, Action Stunt Show will be March 15th, 2005. Sorry to burst your bubble disneyguy I know it is a few weeks after you leave. I'll keep you posted of any updates I may get!

Way cool. I am so excited to see this show! Where is it going to be located in MGM, in relation to the rest of the attractions?

We saw it when we were there in October. From what I remember it's over near Muppets 3D and the new Chicago and San Francisco facades they're putting up in the New York Street area.

Looks like we're going to be there about the same time!!

The show was originally in Disneyland Paris, and is being replicated in WDW as part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth -- Disneyland (California)'s 50th anniversary celebration. All over the world, Disney parks are receiving "gifts" of successful attractions from other parks, and this is the one that Disneyland Paris is "giving" to WDW (WDW is also "receiving" Soarin' over California from Disneyland, etc). It's a motor stunt show -- cars chase each other and get blown up just like in the movies -- and will be a new attraction in MGM Studios.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooooo sad. Do you think if I ask nicely they will put on a show just for me. LOL... I am really dissapointed because I will miss EVERYTHING from the Happiest Celebration. Is there any kind of practice schedule that maybe I could get a few pics??

I highly doubt guests would be allowed into a practice because it may not be safe yet. You must remember that this involves very dangerous stunts and they will still be in the midst of practicing everything. And if anyone is familiar with the show in Paris you might be aware of the final stunt which brings the action "real" close to the audience and I would really like them to be masters at the stunt before I sit in the audience. But just in case you can always ask Guest Relations when you enter the park and see if they are aware of any Audience testing that may be occurring.

It's all the way at the end of New York Street at MGM in the back...lol. All My Children used the Fast Pass booths for the show as the fast path booths for autographs at Super Soap Weekend. So I know that area very well! lol

We are arriving March 19!! That is so exciting to think of something new!! Will it just be operating at certain times? Is there anyway to get a scedule?

Yeah, thats kind of what I figured. I will just have to ask the CM at the front gate. Maybe there will be a CM around the enterance that will allow me in just to snap a few pcitures without them practicing. Who can say no to an excahnge student that probably will not be back to WDW for a while?

Until the dates are publicly announced I doubt you will see any time schedules. I can tell you however that it will not run in inclement weather or past dusk.

HHHMMMM.... Well maybe there will be some super nice CM there just like you, and he/she will let me in to take some pictures of the set so I can post them here, and send them off to AllEars as well as WDWMagic.
