Test Track closing
I read that Test Track at Epcot will be closed Sept. 19th to resurface the track. Anyone know if it will be just for the day or an extended period of time? :hmmm

I got this off of another site, unconfirmed:
"Test Track -will be closed for refurbishment (track resurfacing) for one day only - Thursday, September 5, 2002." I find it hard to belive that they can resuface the whole track in 24 hours. :)

Deb Willis' site says the 19th, and I trust her information more than anyone else. I called and CRO has no info as of right now, so nothing is official. I will let you know when I hear something concrete (sorry, just had to :D )

I think, and I may be wrong, the only part of the track they will resurface is the high speed run area, and all that is, is laying down a new layer of a grippy substance, like tarring your driveway, something im sure Disney could get done in a day

I've asked a civil engineering friend and he thought it unlikely that they could finish resurfacing, allow to set and run tests in 24 hours.

Looks like we are going to have to get our Test Track runs in early in the week. Bummer. That is my dare devil daughter's absolute favorite and she usually puts up with hubby and I touring the World Showcase with the promise of another TT ride! Wow, its getting so close!!!!!!!!!! I'll be there one day before you! na na na :p
