Family Magic Tour

I've booked the Family Magic Tour @ MK for the third day of our 7 day vacation. I've read the reviews on All Ears and were just wondering if any of my DC friends had done the tour.

We don't usually take our video camera in the parks...I take my digital everywhere we go and only take the video to a character meal or something like that....I just HATE carrying it and don't feel it's safe with me on some rides, etc. However, based on the little I've read about the tour I think I may want to suck it up and bring it with me this morning...even if we head back to the hotel for lunch and drop it off afterwards.

So...any input on the tour in general and whether my feelings on it being something I'd want on video are correct??

I did the family magic tour with my 4 y/o DD last Aug. It was a lot of fun.
For our tour..Peter pan had stolen Captian Hook' s hook. There was a map to follow and clues to find the hook. You went all around the MK looking for clues

They really involve the family and kids.

If you are a PP and Wendy fan you really may want to bring the video camera. At the end you meet them and they talk to you for a while. They really spend time with the kids. PP really made an effort to know them all by name.

I would reccomend the tour . Have fun!

Karen, I am glad you liked the tour, we are planning on taking this tour for the first time this summer. It does sound good on Deb's site but I am glad to hear a first hand account of the tour.

Family Magic Tour takes you on a one-of-a-kind interactive tour through Main St, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. During the 2 hours, you are taken through the park's themed lands in search of clues (like a treasure hunt).

$25 for adults and children (plus tax) AND Magic Kingdom Park Admission.

Ohhh this sounds like a lot of fun. Had never heard of this tour before. What age ranges do you think this would best suit? Would it be fun for a 2 year old? We also have our 7 yo niece coming along with us as well. I might have to research this a little more!

From what I hear the experience is best for the little ones who can read (or at least comprehend) the "clues" but it's alot of fun for everyone involved. I was intrigued by it since it's geared to the kids and is the only tour I've found that we can do as a family (since DS is too young for the other tours). It is also the cheapest! I also got 15% off the $25pp price with an AP. I've got it booked for our May trip.

I was just asking DH last night if he wanted to do this tour. Our DS is 9yo, do you think he will enjoy? Also, do you go on any attractions during the tour? I'll have to read more about it on Deb's site.
