Good news for September and October visitors!

I stumbled accross something this morning that I found interesting. The hours for the Magic Kingdom in September are all messed up on the WDW hours site. So, I did a little investigating. It appears that the people at MK will be running some tests during the next couple of weeks. There has been a lot of demand for more night time entertainment from all the surveys they have been taking. But the problem is that MK typically closes at 6 PM during slow times, so it is dificult to have night time entertainment when the park is closed.

What will happen is that they are going to have an entire week where the park is open later, and they will show Spectromagic everynight at 8 PM. This will be the week of September 22. They will then have a week of having Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks every night at 8 PM. This will be the week of September 29. That will then be followed by a week where they will alternate Spectromagic and Fantasy in the Sky every other night. I would assume that would be the following week, starting October 6, though no date has been set.

If you take a look at the September Hours for the Magic Kingdom, the events are listed and you will note that the park will stay open until 8 PM those nights. October has not been updated yet. I will post when it has.

Make sure those of you going during this time do something for all of us. They will be taking surveys after the shows those weeks. Please take some time to leave a positive feedback. Wouldn't this be a nice trade off for early entry?

Thats great news for those going then but I must say I am very jealous!!! We'll be there the 13th-21st with no extra hours or extra Spectromagic. But most of our vacation is paid for by hubby's company so I can't complain!!!

This is perfect!! I was looking for something interesting to do while I was down there and was rather disappointed by park hours. I will be there during that time, and don't worry I will be looking for those surveys and will give them my point of view!! :) :)

mmouse671, when I was ther last month, I saw CMs stopping folks near the admission gates. they seemed to be asking people to answer a few questions. The CMs were located both inside and outside the turnstiles. They had little handheld computers (like PDAs, I think) that they were recording the info on.

Hey, maybe with all the little extras they will throw in a Enight...preferably on Friday, October 4th. Hee HEE sorry all but I am totally selfish when it comes to E nights....Kidding ..Maybe the additional hours will do well and Disney will to a Surprise E night. Hmmm What do you think Mickey?

Mickey,

I was just looking at the Disney hours for September and my the week they are doing the Fantasy in the sky trial run for the week is my week...I am so excited!!! Well they didn't post October but Monday the 29th and Tuesday the 30th is the first two days of it. And I will be there on the third.....What a wonderful way to spend my first night at WL. Can you see the fireworks from the beach there? I have a PS for Chef Mickeys for 630pm that night and assume I'll be done by 8:00. Let me know.....I have planning to do....

I'm dreaming of a E night.....(humming white christmas and stealing another post's idea) :laugh :laugh
