Caribbean Plaza - House of Treasure

During our almost daily WDW trip talk, my mom remembered something when she went in May. She was telling me that in the Caribbean Plaza - The House of Treasure was closed and they seemed to move much of the merchandise into the plaza. The signs said Cast Members Only ... SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!!

I need verification of this desparately! This store has been my long-time favorite in all of WDW, going back to when I was there as a kid.

Our last trip to WDW in 2001, the merchandise bags were colored red, blue, yellow, and green, with green being the largest. I took pride in getting a green bag filled with almost $200 in booty!

Anybody? Oh, I know, lots of upcoming trips taking up your time. Don't forget the little people though who have MONTHS to wait, hoping things will be just right when we arrive. Anyone have an answer, if not, maybe someone can answer when they get back.

Are you referring to the store that you come out of the ride directly in to? That store was open (and full!) when we went in June.

If The House of Treasure is something different than at the exit to the ride, then let me know.

When I was there in August the store where you exit the Pirates ride was doing a booming business! Don't know if this is what you are talking about or not. Hope it is.

Yes, the store you walk through when you exit is in full operation! So, save your pennies!
