Who has made the Hot Seat?

All right everyone. Who has been in the Hot Seat at Millionaire and how did you do?

I made it two summers ago and made it to the 32,000 point question but had used up my lifelines and blew the question. Had to settle for the hat, pins and lanyard. Wife still doesn't forgive me. She was already planning on when to take the cruise. LOL

I "made it" twice...but was a CM both times...so I couldn't qualify.

They had to go to the next person.

I was at the top....at the end of the show! How disappointing! But ironically, it was right after my mother made the hotseat!

I think this may be rigged. I always answer the question as fast as possible and have the right answers, but have only ever made it on the top 10 board once. The last time we went, when the mc called the winner , I heard a CM behind me say that it was a "lucky" seat.

My daughter made it - all the way to 500,000. And she's got the pins, shirt and cap to prove it! lol

That's funny. I have been at the top of the list twice at the end of the show. Just not fair sometimes.

I agree with you...I was on a roll with the questions and got no where close.

it does seem as if some chairs are luckier than others. One time I was there, it seemed as seat 312 was on the leaderboard EVERY time...haha!

ive only been once--and i got ever question right--and jammed that pad like no tomorrow and didnt get on the leaderboard--ever--
but the man sitting next to me missed one and got on there--im confused about this

If it is rigged, that would explain a lot. cinderbella, I've got a story close to yours. Me and my dad were nailing every question and working that pad like you wouldn't imagine, and nothing happened. We figured some people were just *ridiculously* fast, lol.

I don't know about "rigged" but I DEFINITELY think you guys have some valid suspicions! While working at DCA, I played Millionaire all the time. (At least several times a week.) I think some of the keypads have MUCH faster responses than the others, really! Because I made it onto the board several times when I wasn't even trying to answer the questions fast...I would just type them in at my own speed. But other times when I hit it as fast as I could (and I know I was getting the right answers) I was never on the board!

So maybe rigged is the right term, but maybe it's just a wiring issue. I think it really does depend on the seat you're in!

Wow, did I open up a can of worms here. I thought this would be a fun thread to see how many of us actually made it down on the floor. I don't know about it being rigged, because I am almost always on the board and we have sat all over the place. Based on the replies so far, it sounds like not very many of you actually made it to the hot seat. Or are too emabarrased to admit how far you actually made it. Come on now, don't be shy!

I have gotten in the fasttest finger seat, but not for having a fast finger. They just picked the first few people they saw

I was in the hot seat at DCA last summer and lost at 250,000.
Then I made it at WDW in Oct. and lost at 125,000.
I don't agree with the lucky seat thing...I am always on the leader board and I have sat all over the theaters!
