Pick a Parade

OK! Today I start training for a new role! Goofy and I will be getting along in Animal Kingdom's Mickey's Jammin Jungle Expedition Parade! A huge role (Goofy never shuts up) and I'm tickled to death to get to learn it.

I'm starting to learn more and more shows and parades, and I'm getting curious to see what all the guests love to see. Currently there are 4 parades on Property at the parks, with a 5th one for Epcot in the works. They are:

Share a Dream Come True (MK Day parade)
SpectroMagic! (MK Light Parade)
Disney Stars and Motorcars Parade (Disney/MGM Studios Day Parade)
Mickey's Jammin Jungle Expedition (DAK Day Parade)

Out of the four, which parade is your favorite and why?

I'll start it off: SpectroMagic! is my top pick. The lights and floats are extremely beautiful, and the music is incredible. Plus it has terrific characters from the days of old, including my fave villain, the Big Bad Wolf. The 3 Little Pigs is arguably the greatest cartoon of all time, and for them to kick off the Calvade of the parade is a great site.

Well, how bout you guys?

Definitely a new Epcot parade, Rowdy???? How very exciting! It's been rumored for so long, I assume it'll done be for May's big celebration?

I do enjoy spectro. But I have to say my favorite is MJJE. The music is so upbeat you can't help but dance along.

They're definitely drawing up a new parade. However, I've not seen any floats, routes, etc. yet. I doubt they will have a parade for the Celebration, but they definitely are working on a parade.

And you're right Chris, the music for MJJE is very upbeat, which is why I'm excited to learn the parade, but Spectro still has my vote.

I had to vote for Spectromagic. I don't think you can top it for beauty and Disney magic.

Re: Pick a Parade

I love spectromagic!! My favorite part is Mickey and that cool electric shock ball thing he waves his arms around. The music to the show is sooo good too! The scariest part though are those clowns with the lightup faces...ooo...creepy!

Oh yeah. He and Louie actually kick off that parade. Their jungle garb is awesome. Not quite as cool as their Tailspin gear, but very jungly.

Why does everyone get creeped out by the Spectromen! LOL! Boy I'm glad that one day I helped out the SpectroMan on the back logo I couldn't see the people's faces or reactions! LOL!

Re: Pick a Parade

I voted Stars & Cars. I just like how well the Hollywood theme of stars riding in cars goes with the park. Plus they have a big variety of the non-traditional characters.

I have yet to catch the AK parade but it is on my to-do list. Now will you also do the park opening/ rope drop ceremony as well?

Re: Pick a Parade

I voted for SpetroMagic, because I love the light parades. My all time favorite is now at DCA...the original Main St Electrical Parade...now known as Disney's Electrical Parade.
A close second is the Jammin Jungle parade because I love the cars that Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy ride in!!!

Funny that you ask. Next week I start training for the rope drop as well. If I get approved in the parade and rope drop (known as Adventure Begins), hmm...I wonder what park I'll be working at a lot. I still haven't seen Adventure Begins. Be a nice thing to check it out before next week I guess.
