Old Park Hopper Ticket

My mom and I will be in disney in about 21 days for the Teddy Bear convention..Yahoo... Anyway mom has 2 old hopper passes(they are about 7yrs old) that have 1 day each on them.... We wanted to use them while we were down there and I was wondering if we just put them in the machine if they would still work or do we have to go somewhere and get new tickets issued? Thanks

WEDINDISNEY, it's good to see you again, you have been missed around here.

Karlie is right, they should work just fine if they are the credit card size ticket. We have a couple of tickets that are over 10 years old and they are longer strips, it is my understanding that these tickets have to be traded in at Guest Services for the newer style.

Not sure what the cut off is. We had some in 2002 that were about 4 years old and they worked without a problem. Worse case you will have to exchange them, but that should not take more than 5 - 10 minutes from what I hear.

Thanks for the help. I checked the passes and they do have the black strip along the back. They are from back in 1997.

Last summer we used tickets from 1997 with no problem. I was a little worried they wouldn't go through as we got up to the gate but they went right through.
