What Next?

Sorry, Multiple Checks are not allowed!

OK, so we are finally getting progress on some former dead areas of the parks. 20,000 Leagues is now filled, the Fantasyland Skyway Station is converted into much needed stroller parking, Mission:Space finally opened in place of the long empty Horizons, and even Carousel of Progress has started rotations again. BUT... there are still several areas in need of replacement, reworks, or new ideas.

What do you think are the next best steps for Disney to take? Only one vote allowed, sorry.

Re: What Next?

I would definitely add to Toon Town Fair and add some rides and make it along the lines of Disneyland's area. There are many other things on the list I think that are in need too but this would be where I would start.

Re: What Next?

I voted Nighttime parade or show for Animal Kingdom. Although many of the others need addressing, this park is in the most need of being a full day experience. The parade has helped to keep people longer or coming back in the afternoon. Expedition Everest will help hold people in the park. But I feel a finale time show or parade will really keep the people on into the hours and help out the Pizzafari and Rainforest in the afternoons as well.

Re: What Next?

I went with Star Tours. Thought I read somewhere that it was being re-done soon.

Re: What Next?

You forgot the one that is on the top of my list. A ride based on the door scene from Monsters Inc. It would be great if they strapped you onto a door and sent you on your way

No really what a great list. I don't know which one to choose. It would be great if they updated the motion ride mechanics/effects then rolled it out on body wars, star tours, etc.

I voted to update Star Tours because DS and DH are Star Wars nuts.
They would get alot of enjoyment out of an updated ride!

Well, this is more of a "What to fix" list of existing things at Disney. Totally new additions hopefully will continue to be added as well.

Adding Nighttime entertainment at AK is a stretch but technically it is to fix the crowd problem at the Existing AK.

Not if it was a rehab of Peter Pan just replace the boats with doors! New ride

Night event at AK would be risky IMO. Then you have the animal's to think about. How about an early open event/tour expansion for AK?

I don't think so. I have read and talked to several about this. For one thing, the majority of animals are on one side of the park. Easily a show could be added to Dinoland or Camp Minnie-Mickey ala Fantasmic or something to that effect. Other options could be a Laser Water Show in the water area between the new bridge and Discovery Island. Even something like the Electric Water Pagent could work. A night time parade should not affect the animals if noise levels are adjusted and placed properly. I'm sure there are some more creative animal friendly ideas Disney could, and eventually will have to come up with... Animal Kingdom is fully capable of nighttime operations. With Extra Magic Hours they are open at night and very beautiful. The Tree of Life is amazing at night. With Everest and any furthur major non-animal attractions the park will need more options through the night. Not to mention the park needs to keep guests that late anyway.

Re: What Next?

The Great Movie Ride could use some updating. There's been a lot of really great movies since this ride was created that should be represented at least in the closing montage. The queue area clips could use a recycle and lengthening as well.

Re: What Next?

I voted the Tommorowland Raceway. It really is outdated. A little imagination could really make this area POP! How about a staging area that is indoors and has a movie in the round of different race tracks or info about racers. Expand it or change it to include NASCAR, a hot ticket these days. And update those cars!!

Re: What Next?

I voted to update the Great Movie Ride. Maybe think of something to replace the "Gangster" or "Cowboy"...
