Has anyone ever.....

gone to DW around the 4th of July holiday? There is a slight glimmer of hope that we may be going back sooner than expected!

There is a martial arts tournament in Orlando that weekend, and since we own a martial arts school, and a couple of our students are going to participate....we're talking tax write-off trip (or at least some of it!)!

I'd like to know what sort of crowds and weather some of you may have experienced during that time. I'm really not that concerned so much about the length of ride lines because it will just be DH and myself, and I will be 4 and a half/5 months pregnant by then.

I'm so excited, I could just burst!

We were there July 4th week in '03. Had a great time. It was hot but both me and DW are from the deep south and were used to that. It rained just about every afternoon and we would eat lunch or catch a show durring that time. Crowds were big but they were very manageable.

We would go again durring this time period, but not to ride all the rides. DW was about 5 months when we went this past March. She was bummed at first that she would not be able to do a lot of the rides. She still had a great time and it was one of our best trips.

We were there over July 4th 2000 for a youth soccer tournament at Wide Sorld of Sports. The team stayed at All-Star Sports and gaqmes were played at WWS and a couple other sites around Orlando area. We stayed on at All-Star Sports for a couple more days after the tournament. I really didn't notice the crowds being much larger than usual. Historically, our usual time for WDW had been first week of August after summer swim season got over, so the heat wasn't any different.

We were there for a 4th of July, too. The MK was closed due to capacity. We went to MGM. It was crowded, but manageable.

I have never gone there before for july 4...but I can imagine the energy and the fireworks!!!!

We were there till the 2nd last year.........I thought it was way to crowded, but then I was with a 2 yo and that always makes things alittle stressfull.
IMHO that was not a good time to go. But if you have the chance to hang with mouse there never really is a bad time, right.

Thanks you guys! Your opinions and information is always so helpful!

I think I'll be o.k. with the heat, and even if the crowds are big, it won't be such a big deal since I'll be limited on my ride options. This is actually an opportunity to catch some of the shows and the little things I've missed in the past since I'm always so busy rushing to the rides!

The fireworks at Epcot are great! If they still do the extra fireworks show on the 4th from behind the American Pavilion don't stand to close to the American Pavilion or you won't be able to see the fireworks very well. Joe
