Re: How young is to young
Same here. Our DD was 15 mos her first trip and 2 when she last went. She had a great time with the Characters and just doing the Disney thing. There is a bunch for them to do and as long as you go at their pace you will be ok. We were first in the park and stayed till they kicked us out. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Re: How young is to young
My DD went on her first trip at 2 with my Mom and Dad. I took her back the next year at three years old... she was fine. In fact, she had a blast. 2 is a great age. Just warm them up to the characters gradually...my DD was afraid of some at 2.

Re: How young is to young
My son was 15 months. There is a surprising amount of rides that a 15 month can go on... 2 is fine.
I guess less than one is too young. Especially those first few months.

Re: How young is to young
Cdr,
We have done both: Waited for our DS to turn 4 to go and another time going when our 3rd son was 2 so that the older ones would not miss a year at WDW. I would say that we prefer them to be 4+ so that we can keep a quicker pace. However, our 2 year old had a great time last year. I think it depends on your kid but knowing all that I know now, I would say go!

Re: How young is to young
We took DS at 18 months old and it was priceless. He was so excited, he just gaped at it all. I have more video footage of him watching the rides and attractions than I do of the sights at WDW itself. And it was our family's first-ever trip there!
Just take some extra care to keep him comfortable in his stroller if it's hot there: a little fan, towels, a hat, sun panel. etc.

Re: How young is to young
We went with our two year old twin boys in February. They loved everything about it! We went to Chef's Mickey's for breakfast they were alittle scared of Goofy but I think that was his size.

Re: How young is to young
We went last year and our DS was 18 months, I was worried about how he would handle things....but he did great!!!! We stayed all day at MK and he did take a nap in his stroller but was fine, older brother and DH went and rode some of the bigger rides that younger DS couldn't and we sat and waited. The do have a baby station that is real nice that has changing station in one room and a TV with small table that the kids can sit at and take a break and also rocking chairs for mom to get a rest. Its real nice!! Good luck w/your trip!!

Re: How young is to young
Yup, I think it is the size of the characters that scares the little ones the most. Your two year old will be able to ride lots of rides and I agree with everybody else, just keep them comfortable, try to sneak naps in when you can. He'll love it.

Re: How young is to young
We took DS#2 to DL when he was 10 months old and he rode a LOT of stuff! Then we went to WDW when he was 2 and he rode everything he could and had a good time. He was not a fan of the characters but we didn't see too many, or just avoided them all together so it was not a big deal.
Just be prepared to give a nap midday or all heck will break loose later and will ruin the fun for everyone.

Re: How young is to young
Thanks for posting this thread cdr, it has helped me out too!
DH and I decided we can't live without going to Disney even when our children are young, so we were wondering what age is smart to take them.Heck, I'm sure they'll be going when they're infants too... ...but this info is good for future reference! ![]()
