The Land

Is this whole area shut off? I know the Living off the Land and Circle of Life parts are... is there anything else over there open? Just curious. The ride in the boats that go through the greenhouses looks really fun (I'm not sure which that is.)

Woo hoo, I'm getting so close to my trip! I haven't been able to eat in two days and can hardly think of anything else. My stomach is in knots, but it's a good stress. I think my main panic is that I'll forget something important , but I've packed everything except for shampoo/toothbrushes/etc that we'll need to use in the morning. I realized that I need to get up at 4am to make my flight, so I'll probably 'hit the hay' soon, if I can sleep!!

Re: The Land

Unfortunately, the whole Land Pavilion is closed. "Living with the Land" is the boat ride through the various greenhouses. It's really interesting. Guess you'll just have to put in on your list for next time! Absolutely do not miss "Talking with Crush" at the Living Seas Pavilion. It is the best new attraction at Epcot. Your dd will love it. No stress, but do you realize you are two posts away from becoming a member of Chitchat?

Re: The Land

The entire Pavillion is closed. It has gigantic barriers all the way around the building.

Aren't they redoing the whole Pavilion to go with the opening of Soaring? I could be wrong just asking...

Re: The Land

Thanks for the info! Well, from what I've been reading, there's still so much to do I won't know the difference.

It's 6:20 pm here and DD does not want to go to bed. She'll probably sleep on the plane, that would be great, heh.

(Woo "chit-chat" here I come, hee hee.)

Oh that's so exciting!!! I don't blame your DD for not being tired, lol. I always loved Living with the Land.. I don't know why, I guess some people would think it's pretty boring, but I always thought it was cool! You can hit it on your next trip. Are you thinking of your next trip yet?

Yes, the entire building is being re-done and rethemed. It will still have Living with the Land, and the Circle of Life, and I am sure The Garden Grill will still be there whoever it isn't reopening until June 25th now.

I don't know, I have a feeling our next few trips will be back at good ol' DLR... this trip was expensive for us! I have my fingers crossed though... who knows? I never thought I'd get to do WDW and have wanted to since I was little. :)

Yes, it's 10:30pm here, I need to get up at 4pm, and I'm wide-awake. Hee hee, I don't know if I can sleep tonight. I haven't had this feeling since I was ten and it was Christmas Eve!

You're not alone. My 20 year old DD loves Living with the Land. It's her favourite attraction. We always had lunch at the food court in the Pavilion and then rode LWTL. It was such a nice break in the day. The Land is my favourite pavilion in Future World. I can't wait for it to be open again.

The food court will be very different. Think a little more on the lines of Pop Century Food Court.

I've never been to the Pop Century Food Court - but I won't deny that the Land's food court needed some rehab. I did hear that there will be a panini station - and that's enough for me!

Awesome! I really hope it's kinda like it was, with all the different types of food. It was always my favorite place in Epcot to eat because there was so much variety, compared to other places.

Re: The Land

It will still be a food court just not a "mall-style" food court. More of a central hub area with different food stations and a central checkout with multiple cashiers. Flat-screen TV animated menus too!
