Extra Magic Hours?

Hey everyone!

I'm new here at DC. I am leaving on my trip Sunday morning. I have been trying to research for my trip. I have to say reading all of your posts have been a great help. Thanks! I do have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I know the extra magic hour is free in the morning. But if you are staying on property is the extra ones at night free too? Thanks for all you can help me with!

Welcome to DC! Yes, the EMH at night are free to disney resort guests.

You might have been reading about "E ride night". In the past WDW resort guests could purchase tickets for certain nights that the MK would stay open late. For EMH, you do need to get a bracelet at the park that particular day, but it doen't cost anything...I think you just have to show your room key.

You do need a bracelet. They are FREE. You just need to show them your room key.

One more thing on the bracelets, I believe you must get them at least one hour BEFORE the park closes!

Welcome to DC! You must be so excited about your quickly approaching trip!

Make sure that if you don't have a park hopper, and you want to go to the EMH Evening, that you go to the park that is offering that for the day. They will not let you in to the EMH evening if you have used your ticket in a different park earlier that day.

Is this correct?? I've never heard that before...I assumed that if you were a resort guest you could show up at the EMH park anytime during the extra three hours...am I wrong?

I found this on allearsnet...

You'll need to obtain a wristband at the theme park by presenting a valid Key to the World Card at one of several designated locations no sooner than two hours prior to park close.

So, no sooner than two hours prior, but nothing about "no later than"....???

We went to the EMH at MGM. They close some of the park during these hours. Also, the fast pass machines were closed. So, whatever line there is for the ride, there is no way of getting on any faster.

Thank you for all the helpful information. We are staying at Pop Century. I was worried it wasn't a good choice, until I read Cinder's report. Thanks! We are staying 7 days, with the hopper and dining package. I will let you know how it it when I get back. Thanks for making me feel welcome.

PC is a GREAT choice! My family loved it in January.

If you haven't been to WDW before, the best advice I can give you is just relax and enjoy yourself. 7 days isn't nearly enough time to see/do it all. So don't try. Do what you can, but don't forget to stop and smell the roses from time to time.
