Space Ship Earth

I have always loved SSE, but just wondering. My daughter loves the ride and we rode it every time at Epcot. Is anyone else bothered by the bumpy, noisy track. To me it really detracts from the experience.

I think the whole thing is a bit outdated.

Well, yeah, its a bit bumpy and clanky, but it has always been part of the ride for me since I was like, 8, so it dosent bother me. I guess I'm just used to it.

Re: Space Ship Earth

I never really noticed it. I was critical of the attraction the first time I rode it, but enjoyed it more this go around.

Be careful what you wish for, because sometimes when Disney "updates" an attraction, its never the same again. I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing, I'm just sayin'...

Re: Space Ship Earth

I've never ridden it, so please, DON'T change it until I get to ride it!

(this concludes my plea with Disney for the day)

Get there soon and ride it, I'm sure you'll like it your first time (just as long as it doesn't break-down while riding). I think riding in the front seat is better for smoothness. You just relax and enjoy it. It is only after riding it so many times this last trip that I started to notice the problems with it.

Re: Space Ship Earth

Erin you guys so need AP's. Get that husband on it ASAP!

SSE is so cool just how it is (content) I just wish the track was smoother and they improved the tech (the tech mechs are 20+ years old).

Re: Space Ship Earth

I never noticed the clanking track before.....but I bet I do next time!!!

We love SSE so much! Maybe a little spit and shine here and there, but I hope they don't ever change it too much!

Re: Space Ship Earth

I notice the bumping/clanking track on the ride backwards...When your head is planted against the back of the hard plastic headrest, Kathunk...Kathunk...Kathunk....

I love the ride, just wish they had padded headrests for the trip backwards!

It's a great ride ~ a must do for first timers.

It's just so cool being inside the "big golf ball"
