Indiana Jones Switch?

Screamscape says the WDW Indiana Jones Stuntshow is slated to be removed and replaced with the Indy Ride. Has anyone else heard this? It makes sense to me. They don't need two stuntshows in MGM now and the Indy ride in DL is terrific! I'd be thrilled to know it was coming to WDW.

The problem with Disney MGM studios is that it has too many shows. I am very excited. I hate the part in the show where Indiana Jones gets run over by the huge ball and supposedly dies. An Indiana Jones ride would be great, but even if they keep the ride the way it is, I would be satisfied.

That would be great! I love the Indy ride at DL and yes it is alot like Dinosaur but much better done and with so many variations of the ride.

Oh please please please bring the Indy ride to WDW!!! I went on it 4 times in a row when I went to DL.

Well, if three Dumbo rides can exist in one park alone, then two Jeep rides in two different parks should be ok. The Indy ride seems like a very different experience though. It has multiple endings and things happening throughout.
Just because they are the same technology doesn't mean they won't be different experiences. Each park has a 4-D attraction. Most of the parks will have coasters soon. Although EE and BTM are both train oriented coasters, they are both welcome additions. I don't think people will be saying... I rode the Indy ride yesterday, I don't think I will ride Dinosaur because it's the same type of ride or vice versa.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be harsh if I come off that way and I'm not trying to single you out, my thoughts just came from your first response is all.

I do enjoy the Indiana Jones show--but I'm not sure if this is true for all of you--but I saw it when I was 12--and 11 years later--it's exactly the same. I think they either need to change the show or make it into a ride. (im voting for ride personally)

Hahaha! I know! We have Dumbo, Aladdin, AND the Tyranosaurous one! And the Astro Orbiter which is just a higher up version. I am going to brave it this year.

I sure hope they bring the Indy ride to WDW. My sister and I are really disappointed it's not there because we have rode the DL one lots of times and never get tired of it. We were hoping it was at WDW too. It's such a great ride and my second favorite behind Soarin' (which I am so excited about!) at DL.

I think it would be great if they brought it to WDW! I heard this rumor a while ago and have been pondering it. My only problems are this:

(1) it seems a little far-fetched for them to bring a ride to WDW right now that is going to cost them sooooo much $$$...what with the $$ they just spent on Stitch, the Crush n' Gusher, and now Expedition Everest, Soarin' & all the other new things they are putting in at the moment. It seems like replacing something that works would be a dumb move.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it?

(2) As much as I would be thrilled to see this ride come into WDW, I have some reservations that it would turn out exactly the way "bringing the ToT to DCA" did.

There's not as much room for a queue, and without the fantastic queue like the DL Indy has, it would lose SO MUCH.

Just MHO. I LOVE and ADORE the Indy ride so much...and can definitely do without the stunt show...but I don't want it to be a half-cocked move. Such a fantastic ride deserves lots of attention and should NOT be scrimped on...

...maybe they'll wait a couple of years, until the funds have uh--cooled off from all the things they're doing now? That'd be good!

I wondered if they would replace this show. I don't know if it was a fluke, but when we saw it in Feb, they cut the entire last scene (the one with the plane). Maybe the show lost some interest, so they cut it down? I personally like it, but I've never been to Disneyland to go on the ride, so it's hard to say which I would prefer.

We've never been big fans of the Indy show. One time was enough. I'd love to see anything different there.
