We bought our park tix last year thru AAA. At the time of purchase they gave us a parking voucher or pass to park in the AAA lot. Are we still required to pay for parking even though we're resort guests?
Thanks.

Re: AAA parking
As long as you are staying on property you will not have to pay to park. You will use the same parking pass from your resort to park your car at the parks. WIth the AAA parking pass you can go to their lot once you are in the main parking lot.

Re: AAA parking
Hang on to that AAA pass! They never expire, so you can use it on subsequent visits too. All it gets you is into the AAA section of the lot, not free parking. But it's a nice perc to be able to walk to your car and not have to wait for a tram.

Re: AAA parking
Hmmm...conflicting information. Well, I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Re: AAA parking
No, that's not conflicting information. The AAA pass is to get into the special Diamond parking area, not for free parking. But if you're staying on property you get free parking for that reason.
Once inside the parking area, show the CM's who are directing traffic your AAA card to be directed into the Diamond parking area.

Re: AAA parking
ddoll is correct. The permit from the resort will only get you into the lot for free. You need the AAA pass to get in that section of the lot.

Re: AAA parking
Ah. I understand now. I was thinking that even if you had a AAA pass, that you still had to pay to park in that area of the lot.
Thanks. ![]()

Re: AAA parking
You only pay for parking if you are NOT staying in a WDW resort. WDW resort guests park for free. However, if you have the AAA parking pass...you can park in the Diamond section whether you paid to park or not.

The AAA pass just gets you to a special area in the parking lot, it does not affect parking prices either way. Where you stay affects parking prices.

No matter what you get FREE parking!!! Now the added bonus with the AAA diamond parking is that you get special parking area in the parks. When I went MK was a blackout date for Halloween. But the parking was EXCELLENT at Epcot and I just parked wherever at MGM (DS), I dont remember parking anywhere special there. So dont think you have to pay because you DON"T!
