COP which version do you like?

With all the talk of the Carousel lately, does anyone remember the second version that ran for a long time, the song was "Now is the time, now is the best time of your life". This replaced "It's a great big tommorow" from the original version - which is what it is again currently.

Now I am not that old, and grew up listening to the 'Now is the time..." version and kind of like that better....anyone else?

I don't remember that version...the now is the time one...was the show changed? or just the song?

basically just the song, but they have done slight updates all along with some wardrobes. In one scene it appears to be Halloween, there is a lit jack O Lantern, little things like that, and they did at one point update the ending.

I also remember the big GE logo in the begining, now it is just a big GEAR.

The first time I rode CoP, which was in 1990, they were using "now is the time". When I went on it again (second trip in 2004!) they were using "great big beautiful tomorrow". I prefer the original song that WDW has gone back to using. It just seems to fit the ride better.

I've only heard the "Great big beautiful tomorrow" version. For the longest time we had no idea what CoP was. I thought it was some sort of stage show, but could never figure out what was playing there. lol. We finally checked in out in about 2000. It's become one of my dh's favourite.

I've only heard the "great big beautiful tomorrow" version...which I love...but I would like to be able to hear the other one. Is there any way to get ahold of a sound clip, or a recording on tape/CD?

"the great big beautiful tomorrow" version is my favorite since that's what was playing in 1994 on my senior trip -- we ran around the park singing it at the top of our lungs! :-) However, my friend Stephanie mentioned the other version to me (she remembered it) but I never saw that one (she still remembers that song though, so I guess it was catchy too!)

It's played almost daily on Buena Vista Radio on live365 radio.

Now is the time!

Great big beautiful tomorrow is ok, I mean, It's COP, so it's great no matter what, but now is the time is the best song ever!! so many memories of my family singing that song after riding...Thanks for bringing it up!

I remember "Now is the Time" the most. It seemed in those days that the CoP was in it heyay, always packed with people. This version was used when General Electric was sponsoring the ride (remember the GE logo on the preshow curtain?). After GE ropped its sponsorship, the song was changed back to the original version. Now its hardly played at all....
