They took an awfully long time to present this (considering it starts in 3 weeks), but here is the guest list for SW Weekends 2005, for any of you lucky to attend.

Star Wars Celebrities & Lucasfilm Artists Schedule:

May 20 - 22
Daniel Logan (Young Boba Fett)
John Goodson (Concept Model Maker)

May 27 - 29
Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca)
Rob Coleman (Animation Supervisor)

June 3 - 5
Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok)
Don Bies (R2-D2 Operator)

June 10 - 12
Jerome Blake (Rune Haako)
Brian Gernand (Model Supervisor)

They are also going to have these new goodies:
Two Distinct Zones - Explore the Empire or the Rebellion as you make your way into the Rebel Base or take the path to the Imperial Sector.
An Epic Cast - See over 40 different characters from the entire Star Wars saga, including - for the first time - Anakin Skywalker and Darth Sidious.
Celebrity Celebrations - Join an actor from Star Wars and an artist from Lucasfilm for:

Geeman, in all my years of being in Orlando I'm kind of embarrassed to say I've never been to a Star Wars Weekend. I'm kind of a casual Trekkie fan -- do you think it would be enjoyable for someone who isn't hard core?

There's nothing wrong with being a Trekkie. As a former Trekker myself, I think there's room for everything. In fact, I became a ST fan in the 80's thanks to SW, so I have enjoyed the best of both worlds

This event is a fun, silly salute to the Star Wars movies, and I'd think kind of fun for everyone. My DGF is a Trekker, and she enjoyed coming with me last year, anyway -- mostly because it was STILL Disneyworld!

So the answer to your question is, if you want to see MGM Studios a little differently, go on and have fun. Just remembere, there's very little serious about it. It's just a fun time.

I'll be at MGM May 21st just to see what SWW is all about! I've never been, so hopefully it will be a fun experience!
