A Better Stitch!

Allright, I had a great idea on a much better use of the space now being used for Stitch's Great Escape. If anyone here has been to Universal and been on Jimmy Neutron's Blast, you will better understand. This ride is a big room with a large screen and rows of simulator platforms that many people ride for each performance. It is not 3d and it is not restrictive in any way but it is alot of fun and very effective in its simulation. Here is my idea for Stitch: make the preshow Stitch being transported to the holding facility including the current animitronic and that funny robot in the current preshow- this will be done in the preshow area; scrap all the restricting devices in the main show area and redo the whole room as a large simulator room like Jimmy Neutron's Blast; Stitch will then either ride with you on screen or in another police/space speeder on a wild ride to earth where all the excellent Lilo and Stitch characters can be involved in an incredible adventure in Hawaii, WDW and outer space. If you have ridden on the Jimmy Neutron ride you know how much fun it is. Why not make Stitch this much fun!

P.S. why not make it 3d also!

Re: A Better Stitch!

Wonderful idea! We love the Jimmy Neutron ride and I am sure we would love to ride a similar ride involving Stitch.

Omigosh - that Jimmy Neutron ride is absolutely the funniest thing in Orlando. My daughters and I were in hysterics when the chicken dance started. LOL! I LOVED it! What a great idea. A Stitch ride along the same lines would be great - I'm sure not impressed with it now.

Yeah, we immediately went on it again after riding it and it was just as fun.

Re: A Better Stitch!

Sounds like a great idea! The current Stich ride just doesn't work. (and it's still scaring some kids, which I thought was the reason they took out Alien Encounter!)

If Disney could do this, hopefully by adding something to it to differentiate it from the Jimmy Neutron ride, I think it could be one of the most popular rides in TL. By taking the awesome Stitch animitronic in the transport chamber combining it with the funny robot in the preshow and making what is now the actual show at SGE into the preshow and then having multiple speeder platforms in the main room, maybe make it 3d, include all the excellent and funny characters from Lilo & Stitch, now you have an attraction that no one will forget and will keep people coming back all the time. WDW has invested so much into Lilo and Stitch, this could really be great for TL!

Wouldn't it be great if they could incorporate some Elvis songs ...

Wow, I might actually have to go to Universal just to check out the Jimmy Neutron ride now!

Re: A Better Stitch!

It's a sad, sad day when we have to tell WDW to try to do things more like Universal.

But the current Stitch show is lacking severely.

Re: A Better Stitch!

I don't know what the latest scoop is now on Stitch. When we went to WDW in December, we met some Imagineers who told us they were all well aware that Stitch was a mistake and that it would soon be going down to re-do it. Then I heard rumors on the different Disney boards that it was slated to go down before the big celebration to be rehabbed. But so far, I don't think they've done anything to improve it yet.

Has anyone else found out more updated info on this?

Re: A Better Stitch!

I can't imagine closing it down so quickly, especially with the 50th here.

Why do you think so? The way I saw it was that the concept seemed to fit very nicely with what Lilo & Stitch is and it would work in the current space and it could take advantage of some of the current audio animitronics. I understand this would be using an idea already done and successful but the main thing is taking advantage of Lilo and Stitch which the current ride doesn't do.
