Water in the parks?

Okay, I know a lot of us bring water into the parks. I know a lot have suggested the Crystal Light To-Go packets since the water in Orlando has such a strong taste of sulfur in it.

For those who bring water in, how do you get your water? I'm sure most of us bring bottled water in, but when you deplete that, do you go to the counter service and ask for THEIR water (you know, the kind you don't pay for) or do you just fill it up via the fountains?

*Note: This isn't for the Brita bottle people. I haven't been able to find those and buying those for everyone in the family isn't cost-effective.. I'm working on a budget here. This also isn;t for those who buy bottle after bottle of water in the park. if you can do that, wonderful.. some of us can't. I'm simply looking to hear from those who bring bottled water into the parks and then replenish the water throughout the day.. thanks!

Re: Water in the parks?

Usually I can make mine last all day, because I hate the taste of Disney water. But if I have to refill it, I use the water fountains.

Re: Water in the parks?

If we deplete our water supply we'll either buy (I know Ouch$$) a bottle or use the fountains.

Re: Water in the parks?

The water fountains must have some sort of filter on them so maybe the water will not taste so bad!

Re: Water in the parks?

you can go to any food service place that has a soda fountain and ask for a cup of ice water. When we used a stroller we used to bring 2 half gallon picnic type jugs and fill them with ice and water at the hotel in the morning. They would last all day. We hung them from the stroller by their strap. now that we don't have the stroller, everyone will carry their own and either refill it at a fountain or get ice water from a vendor.

Re: Water in the parks?

If I don't feel like buying water I will ask for a glass of ice water when my DH gets a soda. I don't mind the water when I am that hot and thirsty-I just want something cold and wet.

Re: Water in the parks?

I didn't think that the water in the hotel room at POFQ was too bad, I think you probably would be OK filling up pretty much anywhere in Disney. I mean I am sure that they filter it tremendously.

Re: Water in the parks?

if i finish my water I usually just buy the water for two dollars When we go On thursday I am bringing the Crystal light to go so I can have something different during the day and well we are bringing in a small cooler so we can each have an extra water bottle because we will have an EVC for my mom we can put it in the basket so we dont carry it around

Re: Water in the parks?

While I don't bother refilling, some of the water fountains at EPCOT have not been that bad.

Re: Water in the parks?

If you're in EPCOT, not problem, just buy a beer in each country and you won't have to worry about the taste of the water.
