Question about Candlelight Processional?
Has anyone been to the Candlelight Processional at Epcot lately and done the dinner package with it?
We will be in WDW Dec 17-23 and the 18th is my B-Day. I thought it would be nice to celebrate with the dinner package at Le Cellier and then the Processional. I've read reviews on Allearsnet.com, but there weren't very many RECENT ones. From what I gather, you pay a price for the package for dinner & reserved seats at the show. It also mentions 15% off of many Epcot purchases for the day (which would really help out with that $185 blanket I've been wanting in Norway!!!). Do they still offer this package? Do you know when you can book it? Help me! I really want to do this! Thanks!!! ![]()

Re: Question about Candlelight Processional?
They have discontinued the discount for a while now. I went last year for Jim Caviezel(what a hunka dunka!!) and had the German restaurant and Edward James Olmos and the Moraccan restaurant.

Re: Question about Candlelight Processional?
oh,yeah, you don't get a reserved seat, per se;you are guaranteed a spot in the priority seating section of the theater. That is why my mother and I waited 2 and a half hours on line to get the seats we wanted for Caviezel.

Re: Question about Candlelight Processional?
We did the Candlelight Processional dinner package 2 years ago. It is well worth doing, but you still have to stand in line for seats. All the guests with the dinner package are let into the theater first and then any empty seats are filled by people in the stand-by line. We waited in line about 45 minutes before we were let in and had great seats.

Re: Question about Candlelight Processional?
I did this package in 2002 (which was great) and 2004 (which wasn't). Here's why. In 2002, they only sold a certain number of packages, which guaranteed you the first 6 rows on the left hand side of the theater. The purpose of this was that you didn't have to wait in the general standby line for hours. Also, we received a 15% discount on the items bought at EPCOT that day.
2004 -- No discount at all. Ok, I can live with that. The day of our show (5:30 pm), I arrive at EPCOT and make my way over to the American Pavillion. Got there at 4:00 pm (on December 10th) and the line was already over to Japan! I get line line. Well, Disney has ruined it. Instead of selling just a certain number of packages, they sell as much as they can to make as much money as they can. By the time we were let into the theater the line was down to Morrocco. I'm not sure, if any one from the standby line even got in. I will not purchase this pacakge again. If you don't show up at least by 4pm, you will be towards the rear of the theater. I've seen it 3 times, (twice with the package). I don't need to see it agan.

Re: Question about Candlelight Processional?
We did the dinner package at the Rose & Crown with the Candlelight Processional. First, you are outdoors, under a pavillion, so if it is cold out, bring blankets, etc. Second, in my humble opinion, any seat is wonderful, because the performance is just beautiful. I cried through most of it, and both of my boys, 8 & 4 ,were glued to their seats. It is a must do in my opinion.

Re: Question about Candlelight Processional?
We did the package last Christmas Eve and ate at Le Cellier. We had a 5:30 PS for dinner and saw the 8:15 show. By the time we finished eating, there was a decent sized line waiting to get in. We got there around 7:40 and they started letting us in at 7:45. We ended up sitting about half way back in the centre. Not too bad considering how little time we spent waiting and the fact that it was Christmas Eve.
If you are going to eat dinner at Le Cellier anyways, you might as well get the package. It was no more expensive than if we had paid for the meal separately. In fact, I think we saved a couple bucks per person. If you decide to book, make sure you know what day they begin taking reservations (it is not just 90 days) and call first thing that morning to get the best choice of days, times, restaurants etc.
