Why no message from the Disney Club?

I just went to the Disney club website; first time I have been back there since hearing about the demise of the club.

There is no information on the website concerning it's soon to be history! My membership expires this week, yet I have received nothing telling me to either not renew or to renew!! Very strange.

When I went to the area you click on to renew, it took me all the way through the process to put in my credit card?

Whats going on? On the website it looks like business as usual, yet I have not received renewal reminders.

You would think that by now they would have notified those of us registered online what is going on with the club. Not very good PR if you ask me. Smallworld

I did the same thing you did!!

My only assumption is that since they are business as usual until December of 2003 that they still want to get new customers and renewals through that time. They must not want to scare anyone off.

I don't believe they will allow any one to renew after 12/02, since they are selling one year memberships. I would assume they will wait until after Christmas to release this information on their website. (But, you know what we get for assuming....right???)

You would think, though, that they would want to let everyone know about its demise, just in case some folks are putting off a trip until 2004 with the assumption they can still get the discounts.

A CM at our local Disney Store said they won't be accepting new apps. or renewals after Nov. 2002. So I guess you should be fine to renew.

I did the same thing you guys did! I logged on to the site, and then decided to call the Disney Club member line. I talked to a guy that basically said everything we already know. I'm sure that they arent telling us becuase they want to rack in a few more bucks. I still dont agree with disney's decision. The Disney Club made me feel like I was apart of the Disney Community, and the idea of a credit card just says "money" to me. Oh well.

I am due this week for renewal, but I don't think that I will. They will probably take away what little benefits we have before the renewal runs out. The fee is a big chunk of change for just a magazine!!!! :( Smallworld
