Soarin', Lights, Motors, Action and Lucky
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all, Just back from a great trip! Weather was great, parks weren't crowded and got to try the new rides. Went to EPCOT and in 2.5 hours, we were able to do MS, TT and Soarin' 2 times each. Yes, Soarin' was open for a soft opening on 4/19. Only 10 min wait times. The CM stated that the queue is the longest at WDW built to accomodate 3 hour standby times! All inside and air conditioned. The ride is great. We were able to get seated in row 1 which is the highest tier and then row 3. Awesome ride!! It tilts front and back and side to side but nothing scary. At MGM, we got to attend one of the soft opening shows today at MGM, 04/24. This show was awesome. If you are a fan of movies like Gone in 60 Seconds or The Fast and the Furious, you will love this attraction. It last 35 minutes and is all action. The stadium holds 5,000 guests. For those who want more info on the new stunt show, try http://www.mgmstudios.org/mss.html Went to AK on 4/22. Kali was down most of the day and I'm not sure it ever came back up. But we did get to see Lucky the Dino. He is great! Another thumbs up for Disney Imagineers. He was down by Primeval Whirl on the roadway that leads behind PM. A must see. They get some of the kids involved in the skit. He is about 8 or 9 ft tall when he stands with his head up. He doesn't move very fast but it still is a great concept. He writes a 4 leaf clover as his autograph for one LUCKY guest. |

Re: Soarin', Lights, Motors, Action and Lucky
That was neat hearing that it has the longest queue at Disney!
