MK on Sat yes or no?

For this upcoming trip we will only have 2 days in the parks, Sat & Sun. I was thinking about doing AK (EMH am), Epcot and MK (spectro & wishes only) on Sat then MK and Studios (EMH pm) on Sun. What do you think can we pull it off?

Re: MK on Sat yes or no?

I think you can definitely manage that. Listen, when you go to MK if you're only going for the nighttime stuff, park in the Contemporary lot after you leave Epcot and use the walkway to MK. That way you won't have to battle the crowds to get out.

cool tip! how long can you park there? I have PS for CM at 6:30 the night we arrive and MK is scheduled to close at 9 that night, we maybe able to walk over to see Wishes then. oh wait can we just go up some place in the contemporary to view the fireworks without going into MK?

I am not sure the exact dates you are going but remember that this is the time for Grad Nights at the MK. We were there this past Friday and wondered why the park was closing at 7:00. I checked and it said it was closing on Friday and Saturday at 7:00, meaning no fireworks. I checked and sure enough this past weekend was the first Grad Night Weekend. You might want to double check you dates.

They will either give you a parking permit for 3 hours (and I don't think they're really strict about it at night) or they will just let you in. Either way, it is SO worth it.

Re: MK on Sat yes or no?

Yes...you can do that!!
In March I suprised DBF with a trip and we only went for two days...We did MK and MGM on day one (MK EMH in the morning) and AK and EPCOT on day 2..........it is important to remember that you can't do everything. We took a very casual approach to it...we had just been there in Dec. so riding everything and anything wasn't as important as it had been then!
But honestly...it will wear you out..and I see you have a DD and we didn't try to do it with kids...so take your time and enjoy being there...and just refer to it as a 'little shot in the arm of a trip' and youll have a great time!

Re: MK on Sat yes or no?

Definately doable, if you plan your itinerary in advance on what rides you will be visiting.

Re: MK on Sat yes or no?

MK on Sat is not a good idea. It is too full. Sunday is much better. Epcot is a good park to go on saturday. I can't wait to ride Soaring!

Re: MK on Sat yes or no?

Other than seeing Spectro and Wishes, I would avoid MK on Saturday. It is notoriously busy on Saturdays. Many FLoridians take day trips there on that day. You may have an easier time on Sunday with crowds. I am taking my own advice on my October trip and only doing Spectro and Wishes that Saturday.

Re: MK on Sat yes or no?

When I am at WDW, I try to avoid MK on Saturdays. HOWEVER, now that I am sitting in the Great White North, I would go to MK on Saturday ANYTIME!

Re: MK on Sat yes or no?

I think this is unusual but last July we were in the MK on a Saturday and almost every attraction was a walk on. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited to find such small crowds, unusual in July.
