Icon5 Mr. Potato Head

I just read somewhere that a store in WDW has a special PH doll that is a flat price of $18.00 for all of the potato head pieces that you can fit into a box. Does anyone know where I can find it (Toy Store in DTD?) or if you need to buy the head or can you just grab the accessories?

Re: Mr. Potato Head

Not sure if you have to buy the head.

There is a Disneyized Potato Head Station at Pop Century and Once upon a Toy Store at DTD (can't miss it). The CM's will gladly help you stuff your potato to the Max with all kinds of parts. Some parts like the Buzz and Dumbo Ride are too big for the boxes and have to be bought seperately. There are many different Disney version toys throughout the store. It is loads of fun to look and buy.

Re: Mr. Potato Head

Yes it is the large toy story in Downtown Disney. The trick is to fill the potato itself with pieces, and then the box. A CM at the store actually filled ours for us. Also, for all the little pony fans out there, they have those too, that you can fill boxes for, in the back of the store.

Re: Mr. Potato Head

When we went in July last year, my DH just filled the box up with parts as we had got 2 bodies already.
The CM did wonder a little until we told him that we had the bodies already.

We also got some from the store in Toontown in MK as well as DTD. POP also had them as well. I think they are available in loads of places in WDW.

Be smart and bring your own head. It saves space in the box. If you dont have one check out some garage sales.
DD loves PH so we took the body in our suitcase (we have a whole family 4 big, 2 small), We did DTD on the first night got our fixins, they have them here and at PC. This gave her an instant toys with tons of new pieces to play with.
Currently we race to get to the PH box when we decide to play with them. It is just so much fun.
I cant wait to get a new box full this year.

That's a great idea. Gives the kids something to play with in the am while you are getting ready etc. I am writing this one down.

Thanks a bunch!

Re: Mr. Potato Head

The Cast Member at Pop Century told my mom she could fill the box with all the parts that she wanted. They charged her 2 dollars extra for just the body. As long as the box closes, they didn't care how many parts were in there. They also had it at the toy store at DTD and they did have a few parts that were different than PC.

Re: Mr. Potato Head

You don't have to buy the head at WDW. On my last trip I just bought parts and filled up a box. No one ever questioned me about it.

Re: Mr. Potato Head

There are so many parts to choose from at the DTD toy store. Don't forget you can cram little parts like ears into big parts like hats. You can get alot of parts into a box!

I've also read to not bother with any non-Disney part you can get at Walmart or Toys 'R Us.

Re: Mr. Potato Head

You can stuff parts inside the actual body also...if you do buy the body...the one at DTD is huge...but if you are staying at POP or want to see POP their selection is just as good!

Re: Mr. Potato Head

We have two of them. I have one and so does my DD. and don't forget to get the parts that are extras that don't go into the box and cost 5.00to 10.00 apiece. We got the mickey rain poncho and the Dumbo the flying elephant. We didn't get the Buzz lightyear ride ship. Maybe this trip. But, you can get the teacup from Alice ride to go into your box. We have one. It's so cool. We share it. Maybe we'll get another one this trip, so we won't have to share.
