DH and I are looking at taking DS on his first Disney trip, he's nearly 2, in Oct. There are 2 nights of MNSSHP while we're looking at going, but I can't find much info. Anyone know about how much tickets are and how to find out if the dates we're interested in are sold out? Also, it's going to be a quick trip, any opinions on whether it's better to stay at POP or offsite? POP is what fits in the budget as far as Disney resorts. Thanks for any help! :)

Tickets are $37.23 for Age 10 & up and $29.77 for Age 3-9. Kids 2 and under are free. Those prices include taxes. None of the nights are sold out now, and most likely, only Halloween night will sell out prior to the beginning of October.

If you can stay onsite, please do so. Especially on a short trip. You can get extra hours in the parks, which really helps when you are trying to squish everything in.

I just wanted to add this because I noticed your son is turning 2.

MNSSHP hours are from 7pm - 12am, I dont know if that's an issue for the little one.

They have costumes contests, Mickey's boo to you parade, a special halloween fireworks with a witch that replaces Tink. and a free keepsake picture taken that nite, a show in front of the castle, storytelling, and the headless horseman rides down main st (my fav. part!).
There are a couple things Iam missing, Iam sure.
The whole MK is decorated with Halloween decor once the park closes to the public at about 6pm and they have special halloween lighting on the buildings on Main st. There are only a select # of tickets sold for the event and last year Halloween nite sold out first and then the 29th sold out. It's on select nites which you can find On WDW's main site or on allears.net. I posted all the info on another thread if you can want to find it.

Thanks! I know it will be a late night, but I figure his routine is going to be messed up anyway! I'm thinking we'll try for a late nap and then he may fall asleep anyway, but we'll have some cute pictures! Also, I'm thinking the best night for us might be our last night there, that way we're not trying to see a lot the next day. Thanks everyone for the info! :)

I would say stay at POP Century, we took our 2 year old twin boys in Febuary for the weekend and they LOVED it!

I can't stress enough how much staying on site is easier with a small child. You are a bus ride away from a nap or a break if he needs it. Definately stay at Pop.
