Disney Weather

Accuweather is saying that it FEELS like 101 today and will feel like 109 over the next two days.

UGH!

I'm hoping it's not like that in two weeks. That's unbearable!!

We were there in July last year. We were park commandos but I do remember that the heat got to me a few times. On our second or third day we were in MGM. I was in the shrunk the kids playground and there was no place to sit down and get out of the heat. I was a total grouch and ended up going back to the shop where the backlot tour let out and sitting on the floor leaning up against a wall. Ahh, it was air conditioned. I fell asleep there.

I guess the point to my story is that we had an awesome time but like any time in the heat it will catch up to you. We drank free water from counter service all week and lots of it. We had a misting fan from Target we brought from home. We took "naps" on the TTA and COP.

OK, so it's T-Storms in Disney today.

Is it all day long? Is the weather not enjoyable?

Merlin, we were there a little over 2 weeks ago and they were calling for T-storms a few times and they never came. It was in the high 80's the entire time we were there and the sun felt like it was just burning you to a crisp.

Funny thing about WDW weather. I have been to WDW as early as spring break in April and the temps happened to be in the high 80's to low 90's. One year we thought we would go in mid May to escape some heat and crowds....No deal - mid 90's. Last time we went it was the first week of May and I was watching the Orlando weather for two weeks where the high was in the mid to low 80's. OK by me, it's the 90's that kills me. Sure enough, the day we arrive, and for the rest of the vacation, the highs were mid 90's, high humidity. Go figure. We are afraid that if we go in lets say, December, FL might have an Indian Summer and throw off the growth of the citrus trees. LOL

I wouldn't care if it were 109 when we go in August, just as long as no hurricanes are brewing and no long-term thunderstorms!!!

Matt last night I was wandering around my apt. on the phone in my bare feet, A/C was on, but when I got close to my front door (and this is a newer apt, so there's decent insulation) the carpet was really warm! I realized that it was so hot outside, even at 2AM that it was oozing through the door. It had to be about 200% humidity yesterday - like breathing underwater.

I will take any type of weather over what my hometown in Utah got today--SNOW! It was terribly disgusting and now I am really counting down the days to my trip to Florida!

Actually, I'm hoping that this heat wave dissipates by next weekend. Accuweather predicted low wind and high humidity, so I guess I'm happy that they're accurate.

I just hope their predictions for more temperate weather next weekend holds up.
