What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

I was just wondering what rides do you avoid because of health problems or overwhelming fear or your just not intrested in waiting in lines and going on the ride?

The one ride I go out of my way to avoid is the Winnie the Pooh ride especially since I am going with my little cousins in October I am still bitter that they replaced Mr. Toad's Wild Ride because it was a favorite of mine growing up.

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

I think the one ride I do miss on purpose would be the Wildlife Express Train/Rafiki's Planet Watch in Animal Kingdom. Totally boring, and the only way back to the park is on the train, which is always crowded and slow.

I also try to aviod any of the 360 movies in EPCOT (Canada and China). They get me sick.

I avoid the one at EPCOT in The Land, although I can't remember it's name. It's the one that shows you the plants growing in water, without soil. That one is not even worth getting out of the sun for a while. I caved last time and took my DD because it seemed educational, but I won't cave again!

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

In the future, I will only ride Mission: Space on an empty stomach; that was the only time I ever enjoyed the ride.

I won't ride the Tea Cups...

I'll only ride Dumbo if I get there immediately after rope drop. It's a brutal wait otherwise. I won't ride Astro Orbiter and Tomorrowland Speedway. The waits are always insane, and I just don't 'get' either ride. Alien Encounter used to fall in that category, but I didn't try the Stitch version this year.

The ride that scares me the most is actually the Primeval Whirl. I hate the flat portion at the top of the ride, and I'm always irrationally convinced the car is going to go off the tracks when it does the 180 turns. My daughter always guilts me into riding it though.

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

The only ride I guess I could say that I have avoided is Rockin Rollercoaster. I haven't really avoided it because I am going in July and I am planning on riding it. It just takes me awhile to build up nerve to get on it.

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

Interesting question...

I thought about it for quite sometime, and there is no ride in particular that I would avoid, but I always try and avoid waiting in long lines.

I would have to say the Tea Cups Ugh! Loved them as a child, can't do them now. I did used to avoid eating with Cosmic Ray before they removed him .

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

I live life with an uneasy stomach so the list is short and sweet.

Rockin' Roller Coaster - Upside down is bad
Tower of Terror - dropping so fast my organs end up in my throat - Pass
Mission:Space - Haven't seen yet but have no desire

Otherwise I'm fair game. Bring it on!

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

Well, I guess I avoid Tot. I really would like to ride it, but I don't really like the free fall feeling, so I'm scared to try. I don't really like Stitch's Great Escape, so I guess I would avoid that as well.

Living with the Land - my favorite ride. Shame on you, shame, shame, shame.

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

hmmm.... rides to avoid at WDW. i only avoid rides i don't care for. the only one that is coming to mind is snow white's scary adventure. that was really disappointing to me. it was nothing compared to other disney rides. it's like they made no effort whatsoever to make this ride enjoyable.

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

Speaking for my family as a whole, we would be generally avoiding all coaster type rides, including M:S, because of my 2 DDs, 5 and 7. BTR and SM are the only exceptions. My DW wants to go on Dumbo and the Tea Cups this year with the girls. I say go for it, I'll take the pictures. Speedway and the Tiki Birds are definately out.

Mickey, since you mention it, I might have to reconsider going on the Wildlife Express Train/Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK. We never did this before, but always wind up on the KS. I think we will skip the KS in July in favor of doing something we haven't seen. Just not sure yet.

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

In thinking about this, I realize a skip ALOT at the MK:

Teacups
Astro-Orbitor
Stitch
Dumbo
Aladdin's Magic Carpets
Tiki Room
Tom Sawyer's Island
Riverboat (once in a while I'll go)
Hall of Presidents
Mickey's Toon Town Fair - YIKES, that's alot

At Epcot:

Honey I Shrunk the Kids

(BTW - I LOVE Living with the Land, too)

At MGM:

Bear in the Big Blue House
Indiana Jones Stunt Show

At AK:

The train to Rafiki's Planet Watch
Kali River Rapids
Pochahontas
Triceratops Spin

Re: What rides do you avoid at Disney World?

I have no desire to go on Kali River Rapids. I don't like to get soaked and walk around the rest of the day with wet shoes or worse. My DS isn't a thrill ride junkie so we haven't tried RRC or M:S, or ToT (I did it years ago--take it or leave it). There's so much to do that I don't feel like I am missing a thing.
