What are your favorite perks?

Staying at a Disney Resort, DVC, having an AP, being a member of AAA all offer perks. What perks do you have access to and how - that are your favorites?

My wife and I enjoy staying at the resorts and being afforded the opportunity to spend our wad on souven-ears and then having someone else lug them to our room! Its our favorite yet more deadly perk.

Its easy to gauge when you've spent enough when you are lugging the bags around but no bags equals no worries! Coupled with the charging to your room we usually need an intervention.

Re: What are your favorite perks?

I definately enjoy the perks of staying on site. I like not having to drive and being able to get dropped off and picked up right at the park's gates. I haven't used it in awhile due to off season trips, but I also like EMH. My AP has had some great perks too. I like the discounts I have been able to get and the exclusive pins and shirts too. Just being at WDW is a perk to me.

Re: What are your favorite perks?

Well, I actually consider being able to stay on property a perk. I really consider that a privledge. Also, being a Florida resident, I love the discounts we recieve. I live only 2 hours away, which is also a perk!! I agree with you on the sending packages to your room. That is great ,as is being able to charge to your room in the parks. I really like early check -in which we have gotten everytime we have gone to WDW. We always leave early in the morning and arrive about 8-9 A.M. and we have always been able to go right to our room. I love that!!

Re: What are your favorite perks?

I think our best perk is definately staying on site. We have stayed offsite twice and although, at the time this was cool and the accomodation was nice, it just does not compare to actually being in the heart of things and being surrounded by Disney magic at all times. I also think it is really cool of Disney to give you gifts such as the free lanyard and choice of other cool items. I mean, it's not like they have to do that in order to get the customers through the doors but it certainly makes you feel a whole lot more special when you get them.

Re: What are your favorite perks?

I love having my AP, because I never have to worry about getting my hand stamped or calculating the number of days I've used. It's also saved me thousands with room discounts (though we'll see how long that's going to be a useful perk).

We stayed at the Poly the last time, so I can definitely say that having the monorail stop right at your resort is a major perk.

Re: What are your favorite perks?

My Dh loves the transportation, he hates having to deal with parking, driving, etc while on vacation. I just love staying on property. There is something about it, I just can't describe it! This is going to sound nuts, but I love seeing those Mickey soaps and shampoo bottles. Just makes my day!

Re: What are your favorite perks?

I love the fact that all I have to do is get to the Orlando airport and Disney does the rest! They drop me off at my hotel, they drive me to the parks, to early hotel breakfasts, to DTD, etc. I don't have to figure out where I am going, how to get there, where to park, etc. And then they drop me off at the airport again!

And even though we are not DVC, AP holders, etc. we did get to take advantage of a disney offer last year and are waiting and hoping for another offer this year!

WDW Transportation and EMH are my favorites.

The Maid service can be a nice perk at times too. The little extras you find somedays are wonderful.

Re: What are your favorite perks?

I have to agree with all of the above. As DVC members I also appreciate the feeling of "community" at the DVC properties and the "homey" atmosphere. It really adds to my enjoyment knowing I'm a little part of WDW.

Re: What are your favorite perks?

I love to ride the FREE monorail!!! When I was a little kid- I got sooooo excited when I go onto the monorail- that meant I was going to WDW!!!
I also love the way that everyone at WDW goes out of their way to make your day our your child's day magical!!! No where else does this!!!! We were on the tram one time going to the AK. As we were exciting the park, the tram operator (in the back with the microphone) asked my three year old if she would help her with something. She said yes, so the tram operator let her tell everyone to have a magical day!!! My DD was thrilled!!!! (NEW THREAD IDEA??)

Re: What are your favorite perks?

Hmmm... My favorite perks must be the sending to your room thing, so you don't have to lug them around, and, of course, the meal plan. That's just an awesome perk. Yes, you have to pay for it, but I figure that, when you pay for your room, you're probably paying someone to lug your stuff for you, too. You just don't see it...

Oh, and, I do enjoy the not having to drive bit. Yes, the buses are a pain, but still... Not having to drive is kinda nice. I don't have to remember where I parked!
