Where are the NON-AUTOMATIC toilets?

I'm trying to locate where all the non-automatic toilets (my 5yr old and I call them "foot flushers") are located in each park. My daughter is terrified of the automatic toilets and last Christmas "held in" all day unless we happened upon a "foot flusher" in one of the restrooms. She was clever enough to only sip her drinks so she wouldn't have to go - which isn't healthy either. As many times as we've been I can't believe I haven't made mental (HA!) or written notes on the location of the "foot flushers."

If anybody can help, I would sure appreciate it (we go back at Thanksgiving).

**I searched this forum for "restrooms" and "toilets" and didn't find my answers. If I overlooked a thread where this info is already available, then someone point me in the right direction. Thanks**

I cannot answer your question and do not think it has been covered.

But I did want to say Welcome and don't fret about things such as accidental reposting. We are not strict on petty things like that. We would rather concentrate on your questions, input, or comments about Disney.

Of course, don't go posting ten similar threads within a weeks time. But you know what I mean.

Again, welcome to DC, hopefully your question will be answered soon and you will stick around and get to know us better.

Welcome to Dc. I don't have an answer either but wanted to say 'hello'.
Someone here will know where those foot flushers are.

Have you tried www.allearsnet.com? They even know all the CMs shoe sizes, I think :

Lord have mercy if your daughter flushes the toilet in a WDW resort hotel room.

You could loose a (insert body part here) in one of those things.

I'm glad someone else thinks that, too! I thought it was just me!

Re: Where are the NON-AUTOMATIC toilets?

Oh my... Someone else has this problem. My 5 year old daughter is absolutely terrorized by automatic toilets. My wife has a complicated routine to try to keep the toilet from flushing until my daughter is out of the stall.

I asked her if she knows where any 'foot flushers' are... The only ones that she knows in all of WDW are the restrooms in, ironically, Tomorrowland (the ones between Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress).

Good luck!

Bruce

Re: Where are the NON-AUTOMATIC toilets?

Welcome to DisneyCentral!

I think most of the toilets at WDW are auto flushers. I used to keep a pad of Post It notes in our diaper bag or my purse, I would stick one over the sensor before my DS started taking care of business. After he was finished and out of the way (and ears covered) I would take the Post It off and flush the toilet. This made going in any bathroom a piece of cake!

Re: Where are the NON-AUTOMATIC toilets?

Welcome to DC. We have a neighbor whos daugther is the same way. They give her stickers to cover up the electric eye so that it won't go off. Only thing is mom or dad will have to make sure the sticker is removed or the toliet will not work as it is intended.

Re: Where are the NON-AUTOMATIC toilets?

This explains why I have saw stickers covering the eyes in those types of rest rooms around here. I thought they were doing it to be mean, but I couldn't understad why they were Spider-man, or Pokemon stickers.

Re: Where are the NON-AUTOMATIC toilets?

I found this for Disneyland last year, you may be able to find something similar for WDW. There is actaully a list of manual flush toilets under the "special restroom services" link at the bottom of this page. Oh, it's The Happiest Potties On Earth section at MousePlanet.

http://www.mouseplanet.com/potties/summary.html

If this doesn't lead you to WDW restrooms, maybe you will be able to find restroom details under a wheelchair access search of the parks (maybe even at allearsnet or another site). Sorry I haven't got the time to do a search for you right now. I'll look later today if I can

Re: Where are the NON-AUTOMATIC toilets?

I wish I'd thought of the post-it note idea! Thanks...I just cover the sensor with my hand while DS does his business...of course, that makes for a tight fit in the stalls sometimes. I'll definitely start carrying the post-its with us!!

Good luck finding the manual potties...and if you can't hopefully these ideas will help you!

You are welcome, Bruce. It made public restrooms so much easier for us, I hope it helps your family.
