Any suggestions for Jan itinerary??
Hello
My DH, DD (15yrs) and DS (almost 3) and I will be going to disney on jan 15 returning jan 21 - i have decided to get a 5 day hopper Being that this is the Martin Luther King weekend i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what parks to do on the days i am there so far this is what i have come up with: Wed- doing non disney things- Thurs - MK Fri- Mk Sat? Sun? Mon? (this is Marting Luther King Holiday) Please i need suggestions for which parks to visit on these other days -does it seem like a good idea to go to MK thurs and fri? i'm sure DS will be in for a little of a let down going to MK first but I am under the impression that its best to stay out of MK on the weekend. sooooo please any tips? i would appreciate all the help i can get! oh yeah, we are staying off site thanks lisa:dazed :dazed

I'm thinking of a way that I can help.... Florida is beautiful in January! You are definately doing the right thing by planning ahead.
You will want to keep in mind that Epcot is open later than any other park. Since you will have a park-hopper you won't have to spend the whole day in any one park (unless you want to!). Meaning, spend the morning in one park and the evening at Epcot. Since you are staying off-site, I would avoid the park that has early entry. The EE park always attracts more guests. Keep in mind that there are many things that you can do in WDW that are free. You could visit Ft Wilderness and go to the campfire program and stay to watch the movie. Or, go to the Boardwalk just to walk around and see the resorts. (The resorts are what makes WDW so special!) Spend some time in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge. Or, you could go to Downtown Disney. Happy planning!

Welcome to Disney Central! Two great places to plan ahead are #1) Here! #2) www.wdwig.com
You will find a wealth of knowledge at both sites. While here, ask away....and check back often! The people here truly want to help and everyone is just wanting the same thing....for you to have a wonderful Disney experience! I would suggest to start the trip on Thursday at the Magic Kingdom. Friday, I would do MGM. Saturday EPCOT. Sunday spend a half a day at Animal Kingdom and do the "main" rides, then go back to Magic Kingdom. On Monday, spend the day in your favorite park...and end the night with Illuminations at EPCOT or Fantasmic at MGM. Don't forget to go to www.pscalculator.com to see when you should make your priority seatings (like reservations) for your meals. Happy Planning!;)

Hi bratray,
I just wanted to respond to your comment about your DS being in for a "let down" after MK 1st. My DD was 3 last year for her (and mine:) ) 1st visit. I had read the same things about doing the other parks 1st. I was just to excited to stay away though. We really didn't feel she was disappointed in the other parks at all. She really loved Animal Kingdom, and although it was the hottest day of our visit, MGM. She did great at epcot, too-loved Test Track!!! So don't worry to much about the let down, I did, and it really was non existant!! Have an awesome trip!!! Lauren

Lisa...I just copied this from a thread in September
Sunday > Magic Kingdom Monday > Disney's Animal Kingdom Tuesday > Disney-MGM Studios Wednesday > EPCOT Thursday > Magic Kingdom Friday > Disney's Animal Kingdom Saturday > Disney-MGM Studios Hope it helps!
