What is your longest WDW trip?
With our upcoming 3 week extravaganza to WDW and Universal, I have been criticized a few times for taking such a lavish vacation. I have been told that no one needs to spend that long at Disney. To them I say, to each his own. I have been saving up for this for almost 2 years. My question for you is, what is the longest trip you have taken to WDW? I know that many people who travel from other countries spend 3-4 weeks since it is such a long trip to get to Florida, but I am curious to see how many fellow DCers have spent 3 wonderful weeks at Disney.

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
My longest trip to WDW was 2 weeks. That might not seem like much but it was around 1976 when there was only the MK. With two weeks, we saw and did everything, including water sprites on Bay Lake, Polynesian Luau, Hoop De Do, lots of pool time, and a midnight cruise around Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Nowadays, 2 weeks merely scratches the surface of all there is to do in and out of the parks. It's great to have so much to do know, but it was really quaint and personal having just the MK back then. I often miss those days when the magic was all in one place. PiratesFan ![]()

We've done 10 days a couple of times. It was nice, but we were ready to go home by then.

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
My longest trip to WDW was last May; it was 4 weeks, 2 days. We stayed in our travel trailer at Fort Wilderness and made our own meals which made it affordable. Best month ever.

8 days last trip. We started going for 5 days, and that wasn't nearly enough.

For me, three weeks might be a little too long, but then, I'm not interested in Universal at all. Two weeks at WDW sounds just right for me, but what we're able to do is 8 nights, nearly 9 whole days.

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
The longest we stayed was 11 days.
I definetly would stay longer if we would have the opportunity and if we could afford it. We may get that chance too. My sister is currently in the process of moving to WDW area and we will have a place to stay.

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
In May and coming in October we'll stay 8 nights, our longest trips to date...this worked out perfect for our family in May and I'm looking forward to an even better time in October.
But I know what you mean...people look at me weird when I say we're staying 8 days, so I can imagine how they'd be for 3-4 weeks...The biggest thing people don't understand is that there are ways to do it for a reasonable price now. Everyone I know thinks of Disney being SOOO expensive (and, yes, it can be) but we stay value, buy season passes (and in October are getting Free Dining!) so there is really no where else the three of us could go for 8 days for $800 (since the tickets were paid for in May).... I say, to each his own....at least WE all understand each other!!!!!

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
So far our longest trip has been 8 days but we are going for two weeks this summer. Even in 2 weeks we are not going to come close to doing everything.

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
We did 8 days in December and vowed NEVER to do that again. The four of us agree that 4-5 nights is ideal. Disney is tiring, even if you've planned sufficient breaks. Disney is expensive, even if you've saved up. Disney is demanding. There are so many ways where you really need to conform in order to get the most out of it.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against people who take longer trips. But personnally, I can't do it.

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
the most we have ever stayed in WDW on vacation is 2 weeks. If I had the chance and, of course, the finances i would most definately stay for 3 weeks or more. Unfortunatley we just have never been able to afford it yet. One day
I am dreaming of it right now............

Re: What is your longest WDW trip?
I just got home from a two week vacation to WDW Sunday night and I am still trying to recover from it.
So a trip report should hopefully be started tomorrow since I have to head out to work soon. It was definitely an interesting trip though!
